I never mentioned F1. I said single seaters.

How was he lucky? Even if it dribbled into the cockpit it wouldn't have been a problem. Pedro Diniz was completely engulfed in flames and he wasn't even injured. Jos Verstappen had a couple of singed eyebrows because he'd opened his visor. Magnussen got out because all he knew was there was a fire and he had an engineer shouting in his ears.

We will never know thank god. Yes you did say single seaters but I don't clump all of them together.

Well Hamilton :) I just hope Merc has sorted out the clutch problem.

It's a long run to T1... The same thing happened to the pole sitter in gp2. Plus as that guy was on the left hand side he took the lead at T2. Still, it's usually the guys behind p2 that have the better starts. I miss the ferraris being closer to the front for that reason.

Would be rubbish is Rosberg won the championship due to all these issues Hamilton is having. This issue seems to have affected Hamilton much more.

I agree with the mechanical issues he had at the start of the season with his engines, and I know Merc have had issues compared to RB and Ferrari when it comes to starts, but surely Hamilton and Rosberg both have the same clutch?

Rosberg hasn't had as many bad starts as Hamilton, so maybe Lewis just isn't very good at starts and he's paying the price.

It all seems to be luck whether the clutch works or doesn't though. Little to no skill in it and it hardly determines the best driver either. Plus the issues Hamilton had with the car in Singapore costing him setup time. When there are no issues Hamilton wins all, as we saw before the summer break.

I doubt he cares that much anymore though given his huge pay check and lifestyle.
