Alonso binned the hards pretty quick, now on softs. Odd decision.

Also no chance for him to finish on softs, unless he goes embarrassingly slow, very odd. I think Mclaren got track position stuck in their minds and pitted early and screwed themselves hard with that decision.

Rosberg pitting. Hard tyres did 22 laps and now on a set of used hard tyres with a single lap on them.

Rosberg was having to push and in traffic and has worse tire wear. Also he was pushing those hards with a full fuel tank after a couple of laps, Ham put the tires on with a lighter car, in clear air and cruising to keep his tires going. Don't forget Ham/Ricciardo did pretty much 20-23 laps on used softs from the start of the race.

Yea. Raikkonen has pitted as well, but guess that was to cover rosberg. Maybe the guys at the front won't be able to go to the end on the hards?

I think this has Ham, Verstappen, Ricciardo finish written all over it.

If Hamilton does pit again, he'll go onto hards of softs in maybe lap 40-42, he'll have that tire and car advantage and only a 5-6 second gap to Verstappen. Honestly it will be easy.

EDIT:- Ham pushing harder than I thought, so currently would only be 3 second gap or so post pitstop with 15 lap fresher tires(well 5-6 now but he should wait another 5-10 laps before pitting). He can also go onto softs or maybe mediums(not sure if he has any mediums).

I see we are at the stage of the race where the commentators imagination runs wild and thinks of all the amazing things that will happen only for none of it to actually transpire and everything finish as it is in true boring F1 style.

Rosberg seemingly mistaking Raikkonen for Hamilton...

Verstappen and Ricciardo fighting for position helping Hamilton out nicely though.
