Man of Honour Nomination....

From whose recent posts in which thread does which one of them appear to be an idiot?

Somebody I've never heard of before, I think a few others wondered why he was a MoH too. Still, as long as it's nothing to do with me I'm not bothered who gets to join their little Secret Squirrel club :)

OP is obviously desperate for the title ;)

Stulid is actually very much long overdue... Well his inane post count that is actually valuable....

kd

He's only been on the forum just over a year (ok going on two), I hardly think it's long over due. I do agree though that he contributes a lot to GH in regards to rig specifications.

MOH should be given out and it's usually the case, to the long term members.

The problem with popularity contests is the puzzle of how to ensure the less vocal but consistently helpful, pleasant and ego-less posters receive the distinctions that they deserve? There are plenty of popular posters in GD that also make massive LOOK AT ME threads, insult people and are unnecessarily sarcastic but receive affirmation from a host of sycophants.

It's the guys that genuinely help or make informative and interesting posts but are also nice people that'd get my vote everytime.

But, perhaps popularity is reason enough?

Because, he's well spoken, generally informed, patient, ready to listen, good mannered and has risen to AAA member status within a fraction of the time most of us make B grade. He's just a cracking member of the forums and I think he deserves MoH.

So there :p

Is he your boyfriend or something? I don't see any reason for the adulation myself - he's no better or worse than any other GD member.

It isn't about whether this is a democracy or who owns the forum etc....remember I am relatively new to the forum so I am not really aware of the current process. I just thought it was a reasonable idea if the members were included, at least to some degree, in that process....like I said, even if one of the nominations was chosen by the forum members themselves, even if the majority are not.

Community spirit and all that Jazz.....

How the hell have you managed so many posts in such a short amount of time. Pfft spammer!:p

As for nominations, I'm sure Spie will check over this thread and take peoples suggestions into account.:)

2007

There should be at least one Man of Honour "award" by members every year.

Cheers, I did think there was at least one year that hadn't been started by Spie but couldn't remember who it was. I'm still amazed that Slackworth managed to sort it out on the right day. :p

2007 MOH was fixed, so the evidence was deleted... ;)

Looking back over it the 2007 lot are mostly still fairly active and good choices, a few have dropped out of sight but it's a not bad ratio compared to some years. :)

If true where is that "i don't want to live on this planet anymore" pic when you need it?
(i would need a lot of proof to believe this)

The Archives are a magical place, a repository of stored knowledge and proof that dirtydog was indeed a MoH from 2002.
