Totally disagree, the world is not a safe place and if someone is old enough to use the internet unsupervised then they are old enough to read a news item on the BBC FFS. And if its on a news site then this forum can certainly comment upon it.

BTW have you seen whats debated in SC?

Edit: Pretending that horrible sex attacks don't occur really worked well for the kiddie fiddling priests.

Just amkes me wander how did she get the head inhuries, did he have soemthing to do with it? There are some people in this world who need such a huge amount of help.

I'd bet on nobody choosing murdered. It's clearly worse.

As for the news article, well it's pretty appalling.

No. He was found guilty and I've been told that 9 years is near the top end of the tariff for rape.

But the rape victim still feels the pain and the dead person is free from any more pain. I'd say they are equally as bad crimes after thinking about it. Loss of life is tragic but at least they don't have to live with their pain. Rape is tragic and they have to live with their pain but they might be lucky to be alive. I think we could go round in circles for a long time. Safe to say they are both devistating crimes.
