Im not aware of any far right parties/groups that espouse the hatred of short people being sub human etc. Would you feel threatened if you came across a few skin heads/NF/neo nazi types walking down the street as a presumably a short white person (apologies if the assumption is wrong) as opposed to a black person?
Generally you are not hated by the people insulting you because you are short, racists tend to hate the people of a different race they are insulting

The fact most people, or from my skim reading, seem to think this was either a waste of resources or 'hurt feelings' or whatever other crap actually makes me quite sad. You can tell yous haven't been through any form of racial abuse, or watched someone you care about go through the same thing. Proper middle class white guy entitlement.
Oh please...... i earlier gave an example where a person, in a position of authority , used that platform to make a racist and sexist death threats and the CPS, in the same regional area, discontinued the case.
Now you can claim Bahar was 'only joking' but then so was the man with the banana and one is an explicit threat and the other an implied insult.
People can see that the police, CPS and courts are not being impartial (as they should be) and that people know that they will get very little service from the police for far more serious matters than racialised pranks.
So what if they hate someone? Are people not allowed their own personal feelings and thoughts? They're entirely entitled to their hate, no matter how misplaced it is. And just to confirm there were no skinheads or neo nazis involved. Just a banana. On a table.

Personally no, however I would expect the police to enforce the applicable laws whenever warranted.
You appear to tunnel focus, where as my comment was aimed towards your general opinion on what constitutes an adult and how I disagree, which is why I'd prefer to keep my children away from such negative influences.
No, don't be dishonest. My question was how it was differentiated in law, to which the only response repeated by yourself was that it was "clear".
Of course people are allowed to have their own feelings and thoughts, I dont have any problems people harbouring racist feelings so long as they dont act on them. Having someone insult you because they hate you has a different intent from a general insult.
I am perfectly aware that there were no skinheads or neo nazis involved in the original post, I was illustrating to Bassmansam there is a difference in racism and short insults as there are political groups that exist solely to the hatred of people of a different race which should indicate there isnt quite the equivalence some people are trying to make.
Not really. Like I said in my last post, I was on the receiving end of this when I was a wee lad and it resulted in me putting two kids in hospital, one with a dislocated jaw and the other with a broken arm. I'm not a violent person, I never pick fights and generally avoid confrontation unless absolutely necessary, but these kids picked on the wrong guy on the wrong day and I lost it. Had someone taken my complaints seriously in the months leading up to this, then I wouldn't have lost it. So which is the waste of resources here, someone taking care of this abuse before it gets to that point, or the multiple hospital staff and resources patching up those kids, as well as the two kind officers who interviewed me and investigated me at the police station?
So many people are all "lol waste of resources amagad kek" but when left alone, these things can spiral out of control and eventually someone's going to snap. What then?
How about we put a different angle on it and remove the racist elements, surely that's then harassment? Do we just tell the victim to grow a thicker skin and leave it alone too?
Again, what's different between that a taking the **** out of any none controllable aspect of someone's appearance?
But there is am equivalence because it's about outcome. There is no difference to you between me calling you a name because you're black or because you have small hands or because you have ginger hair.
All are things you have no choice over. All are things that have no measurable change to your character.
There is none, and that's the point. People should just leave each other alone regardless. Do something nice or don't do anything at all.

Because - Sending someone a banana to a table with someone who is black on it is clearly a racist motive and is a crime. If they had sent a drink over it would have been fine but no... has to be a banana.

If you reduce it down then yes absolutely they are both insults. Most civilised societies obviously disagree with you as the law distinguishes between them and enshrines it in law thus shows that they dont have the equivalence you state there is
