Manager Of The Season - Redknapp

'arry did a great job, with all the money he spent, Hodgson raped him in terms of tactics, team building and achievement this season.

Even so getting the spurs team to 4th is not something I would call ZOMG what a guy.

From a few days ago:

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp added his name to the list of bosses praising 62-year-old Hodgson.

Redknapp said: "What Roy's done in Europe is amazing. Should he get Manager of the Year? Yes."

lol :p

Didn't bother reading the article, just assumed there was the 1 award.

Although that may rule Hodgson out the point I made about Spurs still counts. If it's just League alone then I'd have gone for Mcleish.

As far as I am concerned Benitez is manager of the year etc etc etc.

Redknapp manager of the season?

No.

I think getting caught up in the furore of getting 2 results in one season against the top 4 has gone to peoples head.

I'd have to say it's Ancelotti, first time in the league and he's won the domestic double.

I wish I could vote for Roy, but in the league this season Fulham have been worse than last season, if the title included Europe then he'd get my shout.

Whilst more than likely it will happen, have a little respect for the other teams you have to play as it has not happened for certain just yet

LOL! He supports Arsenal! :p

Also, I think McLeish should have won the award, he has done an outstanding job in the league this season.

Hodgson should have won it.

Without taking anything away from Redknapp/Spurs, the team with the 4th most expensive squad in the League looks like finishing 4th. Not that big an achievement.

That's a useless stat. Spurs have an expensive squad as their big players have been bought for big money, carrick/bervatov/keane/, which they then spent.

Fulham finished 7th in the EPL last year yet everyone is surprised when they beat the 7th and 8th best team in Germany and the 7th best team in Italy. Hodgson has done a great job turning the club around but I don't think he should get the award purely on the back of a cup run against similarly average sides.

I can't say i'd have given it to any of the "big four" managers - all their teams have been really quite rubbish this season and they know it.

It's just the Chelsea have been the least crap.

7th and 8th best in Germany? One of them were the winners last season, and had the 'best' strike force in Europe with their goals combined being Dzeko and Grafite. Juventus were 2nd last season, and have still got quality players. Not only that, you didn't even mention the best team we have even played in Europe, being Shakhtar, who won the UEFA Cup last season, and play absolutely amazing football. Even then, none of the teams are 'average'.
