From a neutral point of view: 1 decision very wrong 1 decision correct

The red, considering being off the ground was always a possibility.

The penalty though was a load of old diving tosh.

Only a man united fan would be deluded enough to think the penalty decision was correct

Anyone else think that Liverpool have put more effort in today than the whole season under Roy? Pretty poor that they didn't try hard under the old chap!

They've been better in terms of making it hard for Man United to play and there hasn't really been any clear chances on the Liverpool goal.

However, both teams midfield haven't taken control, so Liverpool haven't really gone forward convincingly either.

Verdict so far:

Berbatov went down easily but there was definitely contact

Sending off was clear, ridiculous two footed lunge with studs raised. Not sure how he got away with kicking Hernandez earlier without conceding a freekick.

Evans unlucky, he's been playing very well so far. Several times he's won possession high up and played good passes.

We need to capitalise and get a second quickly.

Agger clipped his ankle. Not much, but he gave the ref a decision to make and it was just about a pen. Likewise the red was just about a red.

I don't think it was anywhere near a red, you see them a lot, he was barely off the floor and won the ball clearly. Maybe a booking as a harsh warning, never a red.

If Berbatov had went down on contact, it would have been a penalty. What actually happened was he felt contact, then decided 'I might get a penalty here'. By the time his brain had processed that decision, the aftermath of the contact had gone, at which point he went down.
