This thread is pretty much the epitome of why I don't bothering posting in this part of the forum anymore, so many people more interested in winding others up than actually talking about football.
Fletcher, Carrick were woeful,
Nani seemed to have a bet
With someone pertaining to how
Few passes he could get away with today.
Giggs, he looked almost good
At points today which makes a change.
Utd's midfield was truly horrible overall though,
Conceded posession constantly,
Very poor passing, created
Very few real chances.
Only seen one replay of the penalty,
Missed the first 4 minutes of the game,
Looked,
Soft at best,
Dive at worst.
Red card was clear as day,
Off the ground,
Caught the player,
Landed with his full force in his studs,
No question.
Shantih, shantih, shantih
I see no improvement over Roy - they defended better but forward of that it was still as lethargic as ever. Still, good luck to KD in the future.
Good goal from Milner there, been saying all along to play him centre mid and 2nd time he does he scores. Was woeful defending at the start though from us.
I'm just writing an essay on modernist poetry, and realising a great deal of it is nonsense. However, all has now become clear:
So you saw no improvement but we defended better?![]()
Now a serious point; I certainly did see a difference in our performance today. We played at a higher tempo, showed greater desire and passion than Roy ever managed to get the team to.
And lets not get carried away making rash judgements just yet; what more could he do other than lift the spirits in the camp? He only met up with the players this morning and his first game was away at OT where we ended up being down to 10 men for most of the game.

To be fair to Liverpool, it didn't really work between midfield and attack but the whole side looked more composed on the ball and more willing to play themselves out of trouble.
Is that not just because it was a United - Liverpool game though?
