Mantle Feedback/Bugs

I'm wondering whether to give it another go with my 7970s as I had the memory leak/stuttering described in the patch notes.

It's certainly better for me on a single 7970 compared to how it was pre-patch. I'd say, if the drivers didn't give you any issues elsewhere, give it another go.

My biggest bug with BF4 at the moment, out side of the odd crash, is that the latest version of FF seems to crash all the time with the battlelog open. Chrome seems fine, not tried IE.

Turn off Hardware acceleration. see if that stops the crashing.

Just my feedback on the latest updated - I played three games last night without any issues, running mantle. One game involving Locker had insane amounts of smoke and firefighting in the tunnels in the main chamber which went on for several minutes, and while it slowed down a little in places it was just awesome for the continued play in those conditions. I'm a pretty crap player but scored a personal best score in the game.

So is xfire still broken?
When it first came out i played it for 30 mins before the crash. But now it's around 1 to 2 mins before the hard lock.

very irritating. .. on DX11 it's perfect...

Running well on mine too, All bar one map that seems to be, errr, well not sure
Hainan resort. Drags the fps down all time. only that map. fps drops to 50 ish, sometimes drop to low 30's .

Stutter seems to have been solved for me too.

On a 290x with a 1095 x6 @ 3.8 100ish fps average on full server.

I'll have to try this recording thing to show you what that maps like compared to others. If mines capable of it that is :o

Latest origin update ~20-30 hours ago causes BL/browser to crash when a new battle report becomes available (don't think it affects everyone but quite a large number) - if you were getting it before 2-3 days ago though it wasn't that. Dunno if it still helps but I found that closer to release having hardware acceleration off in the browser resulted in BF4 running a bit more stable but I think one of the updates fixed that.

Battlefield 4 Ultra + Mantle Win, Win but Hot Hot GPU's haaa

I like just keeping 120fps never see the point going over the Refresh rate, but Done Recording for LtMatt.

Apart from the little stutter before I first spawned in it was superb and very smooth again.

That stutter is normal when you first spawn and it can happen randomly on DX11. Very impressed by the look of Mantle there. Some massive explosions and fps didn't dip at all.
