Nice... I see I'm still in pre-order.... lets hope next crate is mine....
FYI stock is live for the P35W V5's now - hopefully I should get mine tomorrow!
Hopefully Atom can advise on the availability of the P35X's soon.
My P35W went up in price from my initial order (1350) to delivery (1400) and I paid the order price so very pleased with that.
I'm setting up the laptop atm, its absolutely stunning and I'm really glad I waited. It's whisper quiet and light, yet the battery lasts for hours. I've not yet pushed it with a game (need to install lots of other things first) but initial feeling is it is very very impressive.

Thanks Atom80,
but yeah, I'm waiting for the UHD ...
Any reviews of the both the P35W and X would be much appreciated! Trying to decide what to get!
bout the fact you can't load Nvidia drivers, care to explain ?
Partly why I'm buying this thing...
Is it that Nvidia doesn't recognise the chip, or even more obscure... I'm hoping to load the cuda libraries...
Mmmm
Thanks.
So Atom,
Since I'm on leave, is it likely I'll need to go back to the office next week and get a nice shiny new laptop ?
It's being delivered there.
A more in-depth review of the P35W V5:
Positives
=======
Battery life: 6+ hours of video play, 6-10 hours of office work, 2-3 hours of gaming; all very impressive
Hard Drive: Performance loading windows and daily use is excellent
CPU performance: Superb so far compiling code, very similar times to my desktop which is a 4790k running at 4Ghz
GPU performance: The switch from internal to discreet is seamless; 2015 games such as Assassins Creed: Syndicate and Rainbow Six run at very high frame rates in full HD
Noise: The laptop is almost silent when doing office work or browsing the internet (I have to place my ear to the PC to even hear it), when gaming the fans do run but are not loud.
Keyboard: A lot of travel in the keyboard, good feel to it and I really like the fact it lights up in the dark
Screen: Matt finish which I bet is going to be great in bright sunshine, lovely colour definition with strong colours.
Heat: Heat is exhausted very efficiently out of the 2 vents, the laptop itself doesn't seem to get that hot.
Negatives
=======
Hard Drive size: its only 128Gb, but you lose 20Gb to the backup partition.
Windows 10: Its not the latest version so when you get the laptop it needs to install a lot of patches including a huge one which replaces the whole Windows folder losing 20Gb. My OS drive is shrinking. Also, with the latest OS update, LAN Optimizer will no longer run, saying 'Not support this platform'.
Video drivers: Its not possible to install drivers direct from Nvidia, you have to rely on Gigabyte to update and release updates. Despite my drivers being the most up to date Gigabyte offer, the 'free items' game that comes with the laptop warns me that the video driver is too old for the game. Thankfully it still works. It would be nice to use Nvidia's own drivers.
Oddities: There are a few oddities with switching out of standby or when its been left for a while; screen is full bright rather than auto-brightness, keyboard won't light up even though its pitch black. By running the SmartManager, everything resets and works properly.

That's my review so far, the positives are massive - the laptop is exactly what I hoped for and more, its a real workhorse when it needs to be yet underclocks and sips the battery when doing less intensive tasks. Gaming performance is excellent; 60fps in Assasins Creed, 100fps in Rainbow Six.
The negatives are really minor in comparison and are niggles more than negatives. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone needing a quiet office PC by day and a gaming workhorse by night, and everything in between.
