Conspiracy!!

Barry bins it to stop himself losing more places. :p

FERRARI INTERNATIONAL ASSISTA-......oh. Sorry, wrong conspiracy :)

Going to hold back on any comments regarding the top 10 until the fuel loads are published. A) I don't want to look silly (more silly than normal, that is) and B) I'm just not sure about the relative pace between cars any more.

Nope? Rubens could end up starting from pit lane as that shunt will probably require a new gear box (again!)...

I think that was just brawn being a bit angry to suggest rubens might need another gearbox. He would obviously rather have Jenson win the title and I wouldn't be surprised if they make the gearbox suggestion again in the next race.

Ah, vindicating the FIA conspiracy finally?

Seriously gord, look more in Renault's general direction. They seem to keep getting away with **** that would see other teams (*cough McLaren *cough*) banned for 1000 years.

I still say that there are no pro-(insert team here) conspiracies, only anti-McLaren ones. But that's a topic for another thread, and a topic that is distinctly unpopular on this forum so I shall leave it at that.

It's hamilton's to lose tomorrow, no other kers cars around so, barring a really, really bad start he's in the clear before the first corner. Button very heavy, but not heavy enough to one stop so I'm pretty confused on that one - I would have thought fuel him light-ish to try and make up some places in the first few laps.

Those weights would indicate that the pole lap was very special. Providing nothing out of the ordinary happens, Hamilton really should win tomorrow's race.

It looks like McLaren are finishing strong, which bodes well for 2010, assuming that the 2010 car will be an evolution of their 2009 car.

What will be interesting is to see if McLaren decide to equip KERS to their 2010 car, given that they have made a gentleman's agreement, even though Hamilton is able to use KERS which gives him a significant advantage. Mclaren certainly will need to take any advantage they can use, given that it looks like they will be up against Ferrari/Alonso next year, which is not going to be easy.

Providing Alonso does move to Ferrari, next year should be a cracking one where Hamilton and Alonso can finally resume their rivalry (something that has been missing since 2007).

Another point to note is the atmosphere created by a night race is beautiful. Day races just don't project the same atmosphere, as the night race. Of course it helps that the area around the track is stunning.

Button seems to be making a meal of the 2nd half of the season. I guess the pressure is getting to him. Providing that he finishes the remaining races, he should still win the title. His problem will be if he has a non-finish, with Barrichello scoring a hatful of points. The pressure of fighting for the title in the final race of the season under those circumstances could see him implode, in a car which is clearly suiting Barrichello.

Sport Bild are saying this
"Sport Bild now reports that mutual team sponsor Santander, keen to make room at Ferrari for Alonso, has agreed to pay
McLaren €25m if it will give Raikkonen a race seat next year"

A move for Kimi to McLaren would great for F1 fans everywhere. We will get to see how a more mature Hamilton stacks up against a genuinely fast driver. If this did happen, we could potentially see a 4-way battle (for the title) between Alonso, Massa, Kimi and Hamilton. And the winner of this battle should once and for all answer the question of who is current daddy of F1...I can't help feel that we are reaching a point where Alonso is trading on past reputation.

Maybe Button is hoping to avoid any opening lap carnage and have a long first stint, when others are crashing/pitting. Does seem very odd though, and a strange gamble to have taken

shocked hamilton is heaviest and on pole (even if the red flag did help).

i think button is heavy because overtaking is hard on this track so he isnt going to make up any places going light. brawn is a genius at put stratergy so if he gets any points it will be very well worked through pits.

hamilton should win tomorrow reasonably comfortably.

button is definately doing his best to lose the WDC.

bet £1 raikkonen finishes ahead of button, i think he might even get in to the top 10 off the start, he has been awsome at using kers to get away from the line.
