Marvel Studios Loki

Distinctly average so far. Some good effects but the story seems all over the place. Not sure I agree with the redemption of Loki either although I agree it's a very common TV and movie trope. I wonder if Hiddleston prefers chewing the scenery in the previous movies or this relatively normalised Loki?

Doesn't this all happen about a week after he was arrested in New York in 2012? Even though the TVA is outside any timeline.

I mean - How long from Loki Season 1, episode 1 to season 2, episode 5?

Though they did sort of explain the main reason for his change of heart was seeing how the sacred timeline Loki ended up living/dying.

Watched 3 episodes and found them a bit frantic and to have too much forced drama.

We know that nothing of significant harm is going to come to the main characters so all instances of ‘something terrible is going to happen’ come across as empty and just, well, ‘noise’.

Stuff is just ‘happening’ and there’s no intrigue to make me watch further… so I guess I’m out already (unless the wife particularly wants to finish it), which is disappointing as I really liked the first series.

So basically it's like all marcel movies in the last 2 years

Still loving it and the last episode was great. Plus I'm finding season 2 less confusing and easier to follow, but maybe that's just me.

Seems obvious what will happen in the finale, now he can control time slipping. But surely there will be some twist we aren't expecting.

My far out, never gonna happen but would be cool theory is he uses his timeslipping to return to the sacred timeline and there is no Loki S3!

I skipped most of Season 2 as it was utter boring tripe, but episode 6 just blew my mind!! That was Marvel... Powerful, thoughful etc. But the rest of Marvel so far has been woke garbage

How can you know something is boring tripe if you skip it? Confused.

I've done that for many years! I skip through episodes using fast forward and see if there's anything in the episode that would interest me and it didn't  . This one I was like oooooooo could be good! Watches it from the start

You'll have to forgive me if I don't ever take you seriously again when it comes to TV discussion.

What a bizarre way to consume television?! What if there is a 5 minute part of dialogue you just skipped through that would be important to the series?

I don't think a show like The Wire or The Sopranos would be as successful as they are if they released today. People can't even watch an hour without feeling the need to skip through it or 'watch' it whilst looking at their phones.

Why should writers put any effort into writing when most people aren't even going to watch it with full attention anyway.

Finale - some nice effects and i enjoy timey wimey stuff.

Not sure i 'got' the ending and what impact will this have on the Multiverses and future movies.

I'm bored with multiverse stuff now.

I think

Loki is the man at the end of time now? and there isn't just a sacred timeline but loads of branched timelines

Yup, got that, but stuff like:
Mobius leaving the tva and then standing watching himself - has he gone back to his family? How does he get rid of the variant that is already there? How can he survive as a regular person with all the knowledge he posseses?

Where did Ravonna end up and what did her ending mean?

Season 2 definitely dragged. I thought we'd see some brutal Kang variants but got a stuttering one instead.

And the ending, so he who remains is out of the picture permanently? They were building up Mrs minutes and revona only for nothing to happen?
