*** Mass Effect 3 ***

I liked Miranda, plus the choices were limited (imo) in ME2 for a biotic user. There was Samara (DID NOT LIKE !) and Jack (who I just hated) I would ofc perfered to have had Liara, but least I will have her in ME3 :D

Multiplayer is quite fun, although it won't last long with that mode and I've played about 7 games which all took about 20 minutes which is far too long for a pickup I think, it does drag on.

Really, really tempted to play the SP but don't want to spoil it early, how long is the SP demo?

It's two missions and doesn't reveal anything apart from the fact that you are rescuing a female Krogan. It's fun, it still feels and plays like ME2 which is good enough for me.

Not really a spoiler but ok...

It really is. It's a very interesting(possibly the most interesting) part of the demo that would have come as a surprise to anyone playing it. That surprise is "spoiled" if you know it's coming.

It's about time for someone to make a spoiler free ME3 thread with fairly strict rules on what a spoiler is, I think.

So many noobs in the multiplayer its unreal, i just had 2 squad mates run off and die in the first 30 seconds of a match. At level one i may expect that but not at level 7 and 8.

tbf with any RPG when there is discussion spoilers are bound to slip up. Thats why whenever I play any games with a RPG element I never go near threads on X game.

As for the multiplayer I must say I havn't even touched that yet. Might give a whirl but I have to say I'm not really interested in it at all.

I have no clue who this Kaiden is either as I never played ME1. Sounds like he's dead to me. :p

Go play ME1 if you can. Even if it's just to learn more about the story & characters.

Ok the combat isn't quite as good as it is in ME2, but the story is much better and it has a decent ending, unlike the 'ZOMG guys, we must do a God Of War 3 sized end of level boss, it'll be epic, trust me..." anti-climax to ME2.

Just be aware ME1 takes a bit of time to get going, but it will suck you in.

Yes indeed, I would also highly recommend anyone who hasn't played the first ME to DO IT !!!!!

The combat isnt as fluid as ME2 but the story is simply amazing in ME1. I mean it really does suck you in to the world and lore of the galaxy. Plus my personal highlight of ME1 is the Rachni I mean they are awesome !!! Also you get a lot more lore on the Protheans which is really nice too.

To me though a console port is when it's ripped straight from the consoles to PC without changing anything, on ME1 and ME2 the UI was different on each system, they optimised it for keyboard and mouse, that's why you couldn't use a controller with it. That to me is not a straight console port.

I think most people use 'console port' because it's obvious a games' mechanics have been primarily designed to run on, and aimed at, consoles.

Hence the sub-par gfx, sometimes suspect controls, and less rpg features than you'd expect from Bioware if it was designed for the pc only.

That's why they streamlined the rpg side of things from ME1 to ME2. They knew it would then appeal to a wider audience because it was easier to play.

You only have to look at the final boss fight in each game to see this. ME1 was much harder than ME2. And better for it imho.

For those who played the demo, was it worth it?
Did you end up wishing you didn't play it?
Was there spoilers
Does it make the wait for the full game even worse? :p
