I always thought gamepad support for ME1 and 2 was partly working but not fully due to ME1 for sure having a totally different GUI and HUD compared to the console version.ME2 controls on PC sucked bigtime compare it to how easy the 360 controls were & the gfx were not even much different either. Bioware are very lazy on PC when they CBA to even implement 360 gamepad support but players have modded both ME1+2 to use them shows you how little they care (but naturally they have the 3 months to create day 1 DLC).
I know I looked for a ME2 360 gamepad mod, didn't find one so I purchased the game for the PS3...
Seeing as I never seem to get a chance to get my ps3 turned anymore lol i'll be getting ME3 for PC and have to play it like I did ME1 - keyboard and mouse..

Just pre ordered me3 not having played 1/2 and was told it would be wasted without playing through the first 2 as the story will be messed up? right or troll?
It'll make it 10x more enjoyable, thats for sure.

I'm sure it'll still seem a good game but without the proper context I do think you'll lose out on the full experience.

Yeah it would be a bit weak tbh. Sure you'd get a fantastic experience, but without investing in the characters and story from 1 and 2, it might feel less personal.

Well the pretty simple answer is, Mass 3 has a 0.00002% chance of being better than Mass Effect 1 which is an epic story, decent gameplay and overally truly brilliant game, ME3 could be fantastic but so what. if you like great games, you HAVE to play ME1, and may aswell play ME2, and at this point, if you buy the first two stupid cheap...... by the time you're finished you can likely get ME3 for half the price, win win, win
Cancel pre-order, get the first, enjoy the hell out of playing it and on the very small chance you decide you hate it, you've wasted £3-4 on the first rather than £30 on the 3rd , you can't lose.

Does anyone else encounter a bug with the multiplayer demo where none or just some of your abilities get put on the ability bar in the top left corner? Happened twice with my vanguard (reducing me to running around with my shotgun like a fool) and once to my sentinel =/.

As per that EA update, the collector's edition is available for preorder from play at least. No sign of it on amazon or shopto yet.
