*** Mass Effect 3 ***

jesus, so many idiots in this thread out to scream at GAME. you think it is their fault? EA pull out the week before launch telling them they aren't getting any. staff had no idea. the memo coming through this morning was a real kick in the teeth, every single staff member had a preorder. tis a solemn day there so if you wanna blame someone blame EA for pulling a very typical EA move. any other company i would be surprised to see this from.

We all have exhausted our EA hate in this thread, I'll resharpen my pitchfork for game now.

I do feel for the staff, must be pretty ******* awful.

No publisher in their right mind is going to give stock to a company that now has no credit insurance... why should they put their stock on the line to a company that is struggling.

Game can't pay for the copies of the game, that's not EA's fault.

Pretty much sums up my thought on the matter. Can't blame EA for this. I'm surprised not more companies have gone down this route. I guess it really is only a matter of time. I do feel bad for all the people working for Game and associated stores.

At least EA have distrubuted the CE to other UK retailers.
 
TBH I only preorder with Game when they pull this exclusive CE rubbish. Was burned previously with the crappy UK CE of Dragon Age so not to fussed about the company (as a business) going down the crapper. Feel for the thousands of Game staff across the country though, I think this is the beginning of the end for the last of the giant high-street games retailers.
 
Had a quick glance around all the vendors stocking the CE and it appears that we can kiss the warfare pack goodbye - instead, everyone is offering the M55 Argus Assault Rifle as pre-order bonus :(. I smell weapon pack DLC right after release =/

The Argus Rifle is supposed to be a bonus for EVERY pre order anywhere.
 
I really hope ME3 turns out to be a great game. With so many people taking a leap of faith there could be a lot of sad faces in the future. Fingers crossed that all the evidence is wrong.
 
Why not preorder from Origin and unlock 3 days earlier when its released in the US.

All you need is a VPN and US IP address.

Don't let EA dictate to you when you can play the game ;)

I think it's because most here are getting CE, also as much as I dislike EA they can decide when they wish to release the game.
 
I went with Amazon for my CE preorder with the fastest shipping though I'm still worried it won't be here on release day (we always have trouble with shipping as we live in the countryside). Should I cancel it and choose Shopto instead? I've never bought anything or heard of them before, but if they have tracking and send you a picture of the parcel, it sounds pretty reliable.

I can't even open the Shopto site right now as I'm at work and it just crashes as soon as it loads. So I'd have to wait another 5 hours before I could get it ordered.
