*** Mass Effect 3 ***

if it's co-op for the main storyline and you can play with friends then surely this is a good thing? If it's co-op on separate missions then I don't mind that either. The Kinect stuff will be for 360 only surely?

If the release was pushed back to add this extra content then surely that means the SP stuff was almost complete?

every feature would have been detailed in the design doc prior to production, they didn't decide to add it in half way, the delay would be polishing.

Read what I quoted in my post on this page. It seems highly unlikely that 'polishing' could be translated into tweaking the game so it appeals to a wider audience. They blatantly delayed release to add in new features. As for the KINECT point - yes it is for Xbox only, however Xbox just happens to be the primary platform for the game - this then gets ported to the PC and PS3.

Have just seen that if you own bf3 you will get early access to the mass effect 3 demo as well, note the multiplayer :)

"Hello everyone! It's going to be a Happy New Year! Mass Effect 3 will have a pre-release demo in January 2012. This demo will have both single player and multiplayer sections, giving fans a taste of what's to come on March 6, 2012. Be first to the front lines in the multiplayer section of the Mass Effect 3 demo! Redemption of the Online Pass for Battlefield 3 will unlock this early access. But rallying for war is just getting started - in late November / early December, BioWare will announce other ways for fans to engage the enemy with their friends online from day one! "

Cross selling started already? Last time it was just with DA:O. Then DA2 went a step further and pushed Dead Space into the mix. Wonder what other games will have goodies you can import to ME3 . Can't fault their marketing, but it's just a cynical way of milking the completionists.

No doubt we'll have about a dozen websites you can sign up to for special items, an official site to sign up for a newsletter for items,, special items through certain retailers, facebook like, facebook app, facebook competition challenge items, twitter, pre-order bonus, owning other games bonus, playing a demo, making an EA account for first time, registering the game on social site, owning items in one game got you it in this game.

Yeah, I'll still like the game though ;)

Hi, i have a question for someone from ocuk. If i pre-order now as i am thinking of doing, is there any news on pre-order bonuses?

I know it is too early to know the details but any idea if you are likely to be offering them? or will i be able to upgrade my order once it is known?

Thanks.

(i am not a fan of all of these unique preorder bonuses, but what can you do!

Reminds me of when they said 'Pre-order MoH, and get BF:3 Beta access.'

No pre-order bonuses have been announced yet, but you can be sure they'll toss different kinds of armour and guns around different retailers.

I cant wait to get my hands on this game, the mass effect games have really been the best 3rd person shooter games i have played. the storyline is great and the choices you make do have a bearing on the outcome of the game and makes the replay value huge!
Shame however it will require EA's origin :(

More details about the game:

http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/xbox-360/2011/11/02/mass-effect-3-preview/1

It seems that Bit-tech played through some of it.

****Spoiler Start****

Why have Cerberus allied themselves with the Reapers?? Does it mean they were just using you in the second game?? So what happens to your crew members like Miranda and Jacob?? Will they be enemies?? That sucks TBH!!

****Spoiler End****

Could you please make the text blue or something CAT-THE-FIFTH, i don't mind about spoilers but it was too easy for me to read that and now i kinda wished i hadn't:p

I don't understand that either, i think they must be getting the wrong end of the stick tbh.

Also i do not like this line

In fact, the level we played - which sees Shepherd working with Salarian scientist Mordin Solus to extricate a Krogan female who carries the cure to the genophage disease - was familiar enough to be a little disappointing.
What they would rather all of the loose ends from the first 2 games were forgotten about!

I dunno, i can see how that could happen, Saren fell under the influence of the Reapers after all. either way roll on March is all i can say, actually, roll on January so we can get our hands on the damn demo.

I hope theres not an official thread for this on the forums but this is the closest i could find with a quick search.

Another short clip, that I hope has not been posted about on these forums yet. It goes without saying if you don't want to spoil the game for yourself, don't watch it.

Also a snippet of information regarding citadel content that was cut from ME2 that is now being included in ME3, good news really as the citadel was a bit bare in ME2 and it didnt really have much involvement in the second game.

Well... completed ME1 a few weeks ago, and loved it. The last sections had me up till 5am the story just kept me going. There were tedious bits, like taking ages to drive around on planets on the mako, and having to randomly try and find minerals... but overall, a very enjoyable game. Story was excellent.

ME2 I completed that last night... well I think the changes they made to the squad and combat systems were not that good.. I think the ME1 system was slightly better. And planet scanning.. arghhhhhhh. Just so tedious, but it had a purpose... a little work to get some upgrades. Other things I didn't like about ME2.. were the relative lack of customisation. ME1 was much better, and gave a much bigger variety of armour and looks. Also.. a wierd thing.. I though Joker 'looked' better in ME1 than ME2. I felt that ME2 was generally dumbed down compared to the first one.

However.. I liked that they tried new things with ME2 compared to the first one, although I despised working for cerberus lol. It also seemed less story driven. (Did anyone else think the 'fuel' noise for ship was wierd in ME2?)
