*** Mass Effect 3 ***

I am still struggling through the first game. Just done Feros now, got Virmire up next. Not sure how many side missions I will do, though I have already done Wrex family armour and Garrus' side mission. I will probably do all the Citadel ones and then go through the main story. It will not make any difference anyway.

You planning to do a runthrough of ME2 too?
 
Hi All,

sorry to just jump in without reading. Is this a continue of the past 2 games? Not played any of the ME games however heard they are really good with a decent story line.

Point me in the right direction please

If you take mining out of ME2 i'd probably say ME2 wins on gameplay but ME1 had the better story and rpg elements.

ME2 was the better gaming experience but tbh just felt to padded out.

If you just want the story I'm pretty sure there are a couple of quite good recap write ups around.

As for vids, there are quite a few efforts.

The official ME 1 recap read by Martin Sheen, very short but pretty good.

More jokey IGN effort which covers recaps for both ME1 and ME2.

ME1 just felt a little clunky I thought, ME2 felt so much better to play.

Both great games though, and worth playing before ME3 to get the whole effect.
 
Yeah ME2 significantly improved the feel of combat but it did sacrifice quite a bit. Everything was was a close range encounter done in set stages unlike ME1 where it was mostly down to you. The classes felt scaled back and the less said about the massive u-turn on weapons the better though. As for the story...
 
See, that seems a far more long winded way than I did it before. I just put in a proxy into windows for BF3 and it worked a charm, and less than a minute. Does that method no longer work?
 
any1 got any other none flyVPN details as a tried a few this morning looking for an earlier time but you can only connect 3 times in 24 hours before being stopped.
 
Alright managed to find an IP by googling.

I searched proxy in windows, then clicked: configure proxy server -> LAN settings -> checked use a proxy server and put in 210.176.171.237 with port 8080.

Origin wouldnt sign in, and plonked me in offline mode, but when I went to unlock ME3 it said Release date check failed: Your release date will be: 05 March 2012, 15:00

Seems to of worked! :) No extra programs needed.
