ploughed through some more yesterday, the side quest thing is hilarious - overhear a conversation and it appears in your list of to dos - wth?

and whats with the scanning , everytime iv done it nothing has happened.

Whats the general impression of the physical collectors edition, is it worth the extra over the standard?

For a fan yeah it is.

The N7 patch has velcro on the other side. Magazine seems cool and the artbook is fantastic.

I won't be playing the game until May, unfortunately. :(

may as well give up gaming then.. sadly they have too many of the must-have titles.

EA/Bioware have gone rapidly downhill since releasing Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2 in 09/10. You can see that in the DLC they released for those games. Up until Lair of the Shadow Broker it was pretty good, even if they were attempting to rip you off with premium DLCs that should've been free with the Cerberus Network. Arrival was a pile of crap, as was the DA:O DLC, Return to Ostagar. Followed up by Dragon Age 2 which caused a ********* it was of such poor quality and Mass Effect 3 gives every appearance of been as low budget as they thought they could get away with, cutting corners wherever they could to save money and ramp up the price with DLC. From Ashes is only the start. The ME universe has a lot of milking to go.

As for the rest of EAs catalogue. Its expansive and not a debate for this thread, but I wouldn't call much of it, if any, 'must-have'.

No matter what anything thinks, this is the end of a epic story and universe that has so much potential. for many this started in the engrossing story of ME1.

'Must-have' is subjective. Do you consider Dragon Age 3 to be 'must-have' when they release it? I won't be buying it, not because of the poor quality re-hashed state of affairs that was Dragon Age 2, but because of the way they defended it after it received catastrophic, but fair reviews.

It's sad but the industry is in tatters, you have giants like EA consuming everything in their path, financed by simply remaking sporting titles year on year, which the masses go out and spend £40 on religiously. You have biased review sites like PC Gamer rating DA2 93/100 (LOL) simply fishing for a ****ing box quote. Developers like Bioware which 'magically' start defending day1 dlc after be acquired by aforementioned EA. Bethesda's next, watch this space.

Never mind, nothing I've said here is new, everyone already knows all of this. People just refuse to do anything about it.

Bioware did make themselves a laughing stock when their devs were caught slagging off Witcher 2 on Metacritic iirc because DA2 was getting slaughtered there.

Hard to say if ME3 is worth getting atm until most folk finish the thing and judge it that way.

Why is OC's Mass Effect 3 £3 over-priced? Just wondering like :-/

Got my copy, arrived this morning, release date check stops me playing till tomorrow thou :(
