Mass Effect: Andromeda Thread

I have cancelled my pre-order. Will play the 10 hours on Xbox and pick up and continue when it's on sale. Unless it picks up a bit but a good 3 hours in it's very average at best....
 
I just re-bought The Division Gold Edition for £30 on XB Store after moving back from PS4. Think Destiny, Division and Wildlands and the other 20 odd games will keep me busy enough to forget about my dismay at this. Genuinely miffed at what I've seen so far
 
If it's like Dragon Age Inquisition, I'll love it. I seem to be the only person on the planet that enjoyed DA:I.

I watched a lot of random streams last night. I wasn't interested about the game at all - the first trilogy and its story was enough for me, however I wanted to see MP.
Character creation is cack and embarrassing, the NPC's sound fine (in story mode) but their character models look amateurish vs ME3. I saw a lot of broken character model animations too. Performance outside, where Frostbite excels was quite good however the firefights I saw just looked like something from ME3 - not a bad thing at all, it's just you would expect more.

Also the UI...I know CDProjeckt have always been poor at UI's but this takes the cake.
 
The Characters have no charisma and the facial animations are horrid which makes all the emotions come across as odd. It all looks like a last gen game tbh. Since games like the Witcher and Horizon this just feels really bad...
 
I'm not cancelling my preorder as this has been my most anticipated game for quite a while now. Its a bit disheartening to hear the early feedback isn't brillint especially after its been in development for so long, im just hoping it isn't all doom and gloom and the MP is still solid.

My thoughts too. Whilst it is known that Frostbite sucks for character 1v1 conversations etc I honestly was shocked. Witcher 3 and it's expressive conversations surpass anything out there. HZD is 'ok', there are a lot of flaws and the NPC models are re-used a lot with only facial features like beards to separate them but it is reasonable. Dying Light again, as old as it is has superb animations.

There's just no emotion at all.

Same developer (Bioware) however the teams that did ME 1-3 no longer exist. Kinda like Nokia in this day and age.
 
I can play the 10 hours on Origin Access via PC - but from the looks this looks like a bit of a miss which is a shame as I'm a big Mass Effect fan and played all three games and enjoyed them all..
 
I'll have to wait. I'm not paying £4 for EA Access and £6 for XBLG to test the multiplayer out. Will just take a blind chance on PS4.

Is it correct that they've reduced the number of waves from 10 (plus extraction) to 7 now? I wonder why.
