Mass Effect: Andromeda Thread

If it's like other EA trials, it's in-game time only. Battefront, for example, lasted a lot longer than 10 hours because time in the menu and on loading screens didn't count.

I'm keeping my pre-order.

The game is too big to be judged on the first few hours where most of the stuff is locked down/tutorial.

Mass effect 1 was slow to start but ended up great.

I agree you cant judge a 100 hour game on 10 hours. Think people just like to be negative all the time as liking and enjoying stuff these days seems uncool!

Or maybe people just don't like it ? If someone is put off by the facial animations (who can blame them btw) in a very narrative heavy game then they have every right to say they don't like something. It's not a "cool" thing to do, its just their opinion.

This forum at the minute just doesn't like opinions that go against the grain, the Switch thread is full of it.

I am still on the fence with this to be honest and will wait for the reviews.

Can never be bothered with discs. Far easier to have everything on HDD. Plus I'm not bothered about trading in games. The sooner physical media dies the better.

Totally disagree. I personally have lots of friends and family who can benefit from my games when I'm done with them. Either that or I can trade them in for the latest and greatest. Your money I guess - just seems a bit self centred.

Completely fail to see how it's self centred to make purchases based on preference. Digital downloads work for me as at the moment I live in England but am posted in NI so carrying a Seagate HDD between locations is much easier than carrying 15+ physical copies when going home etc.

Really ? how about wishing that physical media dies so as to ruin it for those who want / enjoy it ? doesn't that not strike you as self centred ?

Ok I love it :)

If you enjoyed previous bioware games you will like this.

But ****** now. It's a 10 hours but it will only let you progress the story so far.......

It's not a bad game it has got better in what I have played so far but for a game very much based around talking and character emotions etc you would think they would have spent more time on these parts. Sme of the animations are horrendous and worse than last gen versions. The voice acting at times is also pretty bad with no emotion being shown and strange facial animations that do not portray what the game is trying to do.

Gameplay at times is good when it's not go here scan that report back etc. It's not a bad game but a far cry from the previous trio if you ask me. The biggest let down is the characters which in a game like this should be the best bit.

Time for some MP then :p

Glad to hear someone is enjoying it. I said i would keep my preorder.....one slight problem i can't remember where i preordered it from so im going to have to do a bit of a hunt later to try and find my order across any number of retailers. My inbox search didn't bring up anything which means it either went to the junk folder and will now have been deleted or i never preordered in the first place.

I've not cancelled mine yet. Been watching some Twitch and the gameplay looks pretty solid. I can handle the flaws if it plays well. Will see what full reviews say.

The multiplayer looks the same as ME3 but I'm not sure why they've reduced the waves from 11 to 7. The bronze difficulty seems more like silver now, more enemies in a wave I think. Weapons seem like peashooters though and I've not seen many people actually using their powers! Certainly no-one is doing fire/biotic combos.

Starting to think people are forgetting this is an RPG.

It not gears or uncharted. Saying that combat is a huge improvement over the original 3.

Your not going to get gears gunplay or Naughty dogs character development or acting.

Bioware strengths have always been the world they create.
