****MASS EFFECT : ANDROMEDA****

Super excited for the next ME, been such a long wait. Do we have any more details on the multiplayer yet, or will all be revealed next weekend at Pax East?

The only new bit I learned about multiplayer is that it will have some sort of "Prestige" system so when you reset your characters progress, you get bonuses to health/shields that apply to all your characters. But there is a cap so you won't have someone in a year's time who's been hammering the game and has character bonuses of 1,000,000 shields or something. :D

If they've done the planets in a style that matches TW3 then even just a handful should provide hours of content and I'll be happy with that. If it's more of a No mans Sky feel then I can imagine people will be rightly upset.

ME3 beacon lets land and clear a building out on this planet style missions got boring fast as they provided hardly any pay off.

I expect mass effect to be a functional game.
Solid gameplay, but don't expect anything extra in terms of exploration etc.

It'll just be 3rd person shooter with basic rpg elements.

Cool, at least you will get something of value when you reset! Thanks for the info.

I'm confused after watching that video about the seven "golden worlds." Previously, they used the Mass Relays to whizz around the Milky Way so how are they getting to/from all those different planets which are spread right around the Andromeda galaxy?

No one knows yet, might be some sort of tech you unlock on the first planet that allows you to get to the newer ones.

No, I wasn't paying proper attention. :p The Helius cluster with the 7 planets in is just a tiny section of the Andromeda galaxy. So they are staying put there and not touring the whole galaxy. The FTL drive will get them around.

Do we go off exploring the other clusters to purely scan them? as the landable planets seem to be in the Helius cluster.

I don't think so. The entire game is in the Helius cluster from what I can gather. That cluster is probably going to be the same as the Milky Way map in the first Mass Effect games. I think there are 100 planets or something that you can scan for resources. I'd bet on them saving other parts of Andromeda for the sequels. :D

Sadly if EA are directly involved again to unlock more of the map it'll be behind paid DLC no doubt.
