Mass Effect playthrough, which class?

You're in for a treat. Enjoy!

After a few false starts managed to get the HD patch working. Unable to force AA through the Nvidia control panel without having the side effect of huge lense flare that covers the whole screen.

It does look pretty good though despite its age.

Kinda of annoying having to hold space for the squad menu too :X

Chosen Vanguard as my class and not long arrived at the Citadel.

That's odd. I just started Mass Effect at the weekend, chose Vanguard and also noticed the lens flare AA issue :D

I really want to play these games through again now with a biotic build - wish I had the time!

Not sure I could handle playing Femshep - Shep is male shep to me after two playthroughs as Infiltrator!

Problem with Jennifer Hale is she voices way too many characters. I hear the voice and I don't hear FemShep, I just hear other characters.

Mark Meer has done a few games too, but nowhere near as vast as the array that is Hale's CV.

I think that's not an issue for me as her playing Femshep was the first time I'd heard her voice. :)

And looking at her works on IMDB, I've only played Dragon Age: Inquisition, Bulletstorm and Diablo III so have not had that much exposure of her. Nolan North on the other hand... Gah.

I got around it by running DSR in nvidia control panel and cranking it up to 5k lol.

Think I had to crank it down a notch though due to some weird text being about a mm big!

Well I finished the ME1 playthrough (and will admit I had to drop to easy level in the final battle) now started on ME2. It is quite a different feel and I must admit I forgot how tedious checking and mining all the systems and sub-systems/planets is. The side missions on the stations are much more incidental and you seem to be pushed into advancing the main plot rather than taking your time. Also astonishing to realise ME2 is nearly 7 years old!

I decided to switch from Sentinel to Vanguard but continuing to pursue my primarily Paragon style. Not chosen a Bunkie yet as I can't recall how the liaison with Liara transfers over from ME1. I do remember "Jack" is quite hard work and you need to do the dialogue challenges in a very particular order. Miranda is too uptight which I guess leaves the girl from the CnC (Kelley?) but I've never been able to figure out how to succeed there. AFAIK Samara isn't available as a Shepard love interest.

You can take your time in ME2, you just have to know when the triggers that advance the plot are.

For example, if you don't recruit Mordin, then Horizon can't happen, which gives you time to do some DLC content.

Same for later in the game, if you don't collect the Reaper IFF, then the next stage can't happen so you have all the time you need to finish up loyalty quests. It helps :)

God damn it now I need to reinstall and play through all of the ME games again! Think i'll do a female shep this time as I've always played as Male. I don't think I've played any of the DLC for ME2 & ME3 either so might be worth picking them up.

Man I'm loving Mass Effect 2 after getting over the culture shock of moving straight from 1 to 2. The game has it's claws in me so much that I'm desperate to play it, get grumpy if anything stands in my way of playing it and am sacrificing some significant sleeping hours to play it!

Great game. Make sure you bone Jack.

Yea I finished Mass Effect 1 on Monday :) Straight onto 2 and I have to say they done a wonderful job advancing the graphics and the areas within the sequel.

Last night I rescued Jack from the prison ship. She looks to be a handful :)
