Masterchef 2012

"I would like to say it is affecting my relationships around me, but its not. I dont really have any'

well they've already shown that mathew needs to go after dedicating the opening to the show with him and his puddings he failed to serve,.. that along with the 'hopefully' after every sentence.. he's doomed

It was a good laugh to see previous winners again although not sure why last years losers were invited this time around.

Vegetarian nutter who cut her finger - maybe she is pescetarian now as she ordered scallops without bacon?

Italian woman who only really excelled at cooking ... Italian cuisine

also an honorary lol for the bricklayer who tattoed Masterchef logo on his chest :D

Who's watching tonight then? They're catering for 100 at the moment and although it takes certain management skills for a chef to succeed, the show seems to be taking an Apprentice style edge - 'who is to blame for the pannacotta being spilled?!' 'why haven't they organised a backup plan?!'

Just show me the food :p

The balding 'Phil Mitchell' guy seems to be taking it all in his stride though.

Not particularly inspired by the look of any of the food thus far...

Not a fan of these challenges. I want to see them in a kitchen cooking their own food.
Still 3 beetroots fo a beetroot sauce for 40 people, epic fail.

No **** Sherlock.

It's got burnt bits on it.
That's becuase they burnt it.

*Have this detectives badge.

I agree- Masterchef, not Mastercaterer :p

This second group veg looks dire... I'm sure some people were having major lifestyle changes and suddenly wanting meat!

Since when did all these Tarquins and HoorayHenrys become noteworthy food critics?

Except for the final chocolate/mango dish, I wasn't at all bothered by any of Atherton's offerings: disappointing from him.

Roll on the studio own-food challenges.

They were all from Pollen Street Social's menu... I didn't really enjoy that ox cheek dish that much when I had it there, which is saying something with those ingredients!

Enjoying it so far, but aside from the mental physicist there isn't a 'Tim' from last year. Nobody so far has really stood out.

Acetate sheet. Form into a cylinder shape with tape/in a ring (even a loo roll tube, lol). Melt chocolate on the inside of acetate cylinder. Allow to cool.

Or maybe melted choc on an acetate sheet. Then form that into a cylinder shape with tape/in a ring. Allow to cool.

Ah cool, ive not seen that before, so after its cooled you just pull the sheet off, thats awesome.
