Masterchef: The Professionals

Do they put up all the recipes from this shoe on the website, or do they leave some off? I'm after the Sole Veronique recipe (the one that looked awesome) but the website doesn't have it yet. Do they wait until the next episode has aired and then upload the last weeks recipe maybe?

There is far too much Masterchef on these days, it used to be a real tv treat when it was only on once a year, now theres junior, celebrity, professional and regular its all too much for me and I stopped watching it a couple of years ago.

I tuned into professional when it started this series though and its had me hooked, I think ill just stick to this one from now on, Michele Roux is a much better judge/host than Tuerode (or however you spell him).

It makes me think of the velociraptors in Jurassic Park.

Do you think he eye's up the studio through the window in the door he walks out of and steams up the glass with his breath? :p

Haha! Would love to see that in an "out takes" or "behind the scenes" type show :D

I do like how he walks about and watches people work and tries their food, some of the faces he pulls for that are comical too :D

I only really watch the professional and "regular" Masterchef, I really enjoy those two incarnations of the show along with the Great British Menu (where top British chefs have to put together a menu for a special occasion)

I think the usual two that present Masterchef are the best, I think for the professional version it makes much more sense to have someone like Michele Roux Jr co presenting too, and Monica in the early stages.

It's a little bit shocking too, because this year there have been quite a few really good chefs be knocked out yet they're still so far away from the standards of Roux Jr :o

Michele Roux Jnr looks and is, an utter badass. He reminds me of Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad; neat and tidy and professional, but you would not **** with him at all. Truly dedicated and also an ultra fit man, running marathons etc. and clearly in great shape.

What's more, he's so good at commentating and critiquing, managing to make it interesting without being overly harsh.

In fact he's my favourite 'TV chef' all things considered.

I wouldn't say he was my favourite, but he does communicate well and look good on TV. Much better than Raymond Blanc anyway.

im really enjoying this series of Masterchef, my only gripes are MRjr's walk on.. he looks like an angry junkie on his way back to his dealer after buying cut stuff, and Monica's gummy smile.. showing more gum than tooth is just wrong :/

am enjoying this too.... and the comedic face pulling from 'Robomotions' Monica and 'I've a massive gob' Greg.....

there are some great chefs in this... that woman who is nervous all time.. yet produces some great dishes!

Is it me or do the critics just like the simplest dish possible? I feel they rewarded the Maltese woman's dishes too strongly as they were just so much more simple than those of the other contestants. Fair enough some people value simple great tasting food, but surely technical skill needs to have its place. Her lamb was dead fatty around the edge too yet they could barely contain their delight for it.

I felt that she should have gone in place of young Josh, who was churning out some michelin-style food at the age of 24 (albeit with some mistakes, but at least he was ambitious).

I love the skills tests, seeing some of the things they're asked to do and just laughing at the thought of what it would look like if I tried it.

I felt they barely praised Josh's best work yet came down on him like a tonne of bricks when he did make the odd (and understandable) mistake.

My bet is MRjr caught him on his way out and gave him an offer he couldn't refuse ;)

not that

I'm not sure we need to see the other Semi-final : with white-haired young girl, skinny young lad, and floppy haired frenchie guy all in one heat, I'm not sure we need anything else between now and the final!
