Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Well signed up for Profit Accumulator last night and got started ... slowly. Taking my time for a few days until I get the hang of it.

I'm going to go for it, so I will hopefully, be hitting the £1k + per month figure. I'll be happy with £500 extra and more importantly, tax free.

Looking forward to seeing if I can get anywhere near to my target.

I think the terms of that specific offer state the qualifying bet must be placed at odds of greater than 1/2 (i.e. 1.5 in decimals).

Exactly this. It's not him deciding the odds, it's the bookie's Ts&Cs for the free bet eligibility. Most are either 1.5, 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0. I stay above 2.0.

Thanks for that, could have been very costly for me not knowing that bit of information.

I signed up to profit accumulator but it looked too much like a job after watching the videos, I just signed up to coral for the offer, betted on Chelsea to win, won, withdrew my money and profit. Now I have £20 free bet, any tips to turn it into a real £20?

So you joined a site designed to hold your hand in the most basic way possible, to find out how to do the exact thing that the entire site is dedicated to, decided it was too much effort, so came to a tech enthusiast forum with precisely one thread on the matter, to ask how to do the things that the first site is dedicated to?

Really?

Not really sure why peeps need to sign up to a Matched Betting site that charges a monthly fee, go over to the MSE forum on matched betting, plenty of guides for beginners and lots of people who will help out, it's where I started years ago. That forum will only discuss risk free opportunities.

There are other forums out there, go find them but will discuss other techniques that offer a +EV perspective.

Saying that, this is much harder nowadays as the offers just aren't there sadly. May change in the future who knows.

Apart from the straw man that's right. I didn't say it was complicated, just too much of a job for me/not fun to do in my spare time, in my case I had more fun and more profit from the first bet. Why are you so snarky?

Use trickybet to work out the stakes and find a close odds match between an event in coral and betfair. Min odds 4.0 but if you have a reasonable bank for the liability aim for 9- 10 odds. Horse racing is usually good for this

I'm glad you can see a straw man in my post, it looks pretty spot on to me.

That said, Larty's post says it well. You need to lay the bet at an exchange, play your cards right and you can bag a free bet there too.

ive just started thanks to this site, spent a few hours over the last few days and made about £100. It seems like the offers are already drying up which is a shame, I really had hopes of making £1000 but I don't think this will happen

I have signed up but i think im already at a loss as about a year ago i dabbled with match betting for abit so as most offers are for new accounts i have already lost quite a few of the offers available.

just seen this but I've been doing matched betting for a month or so now and made around £300 but with maybe 10 mins input per day. I use a site that guides you step by step but it has a membership fee, this is well worth the money though if you ask me cause the bloke finds the sites for you and the deals and gives you step by step instructions, am I allowed to link it here? If so I will. Also I think there's a referral bonus I can claim so would be great if you could let me :D

Hey,

What sites that? Sounds like my sort of thing if I can just do it without having to think about any of it etc.

Trust me :)

I was hoping to get the sign up offer for betfair (3x £10 free bets) by lay betting on sports, but seems I need to do a non lay bet. Any safeish way to get them?

Smarkets and matchbook also have new account offers and have lower commission rates than fair/daq. Granted they don't cover as many markets but for 2% vs 5 it all adds up. Matchbook charges commission on both winning g and losing bets but it's a measly 1.15%.

Back and lay something with similar odds to qualify for the free £50 inplay bet tonight.

I'm using smarkets as the exchange commission is only 2%.

back over 3.5 goals with bet365 with £50
lay over 3.5 goals with smarkets with £38

If there's over 3.5 goals you make £20 profit
If there's under 3.5 goals your bet with smarkets wins and you make £37.

Minus £1-£2 in laying off the first bet and that's a solid £35 or £20 profit. Anyone found any better matches than that?

Very interested in profit accumulator. My wife is currently on maternity and it seems like it could be quite straightforward for her to follow while I'm at work. What sort of pot is it best to start off with? Also what happens once you have an account with all the main bookies?
