Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Remember to place mug bets (betting the same way a mug would) to prevent the bookies catching on and closing your account or restricting you.

There's a good post on the Profit Accumulator Facebook page about it but it's a closed group and requires a subscription to access.

I'm in a bit of a poor position atm, my matched betting account is empty as I'm waiting for bookies to pay out. I've got a bit in my exchange account ready to go, just wish bank accounts were faster.

tommo > steer your wife towards fixtheodds.com and do a few offers there first to see if she enjoys it. It'll hold her hand the first few times but won't teach her anything. It's a great site to start with.

As for bookies accounts, they'll start sending you offers over time which you can use, but you'll need to place mug bets as mentioned above.

If you just want to do the opening offers then don't worry about it, but for a steady income you'll want to keep your bookie accounts in good standing and this means they need to think you're a mug just betting on a team or whatever.

So £100 in betfair and £100 for new sign ups is enough? I'm going to watch the video and sign up tonight too. Keep this thread updated with your progress :)

Basically yeah, I think the more pot you use on betfair, the more profit you'll make (that's my understanding anyways), I'll be going as big a pot as I can to maximise profit early on.

Sorry, yes £100 is plenty. Read my post above but ignore the mug betting stuff as that won't apply yet. Try fixtheodds first and if she enjoys it, move on to Profit Accumulator.

Drop me a trust if she does decide to join PA, I don't mind sharing what little wisdom I have :)

Profit Accumulator, that can't be for real can it?

Website reads like those get rich quick pyramid schemes you get pinged with on the internet.

It looks like it, yes. I took a gamble and don't regret it at all. The Facebook group has loads of people posting offers and reloads so there's always something to go for. The calculator and odds finder are brilliant too. I don't know how long I'll subscribe for but I've already learned quite a bit from it so the £17 or whatever it was was well worth it for me. Obviously for more advanced people it's probably a waste because they know where to look.

For me it's mainly a time saver, and having the convenience of having all the tools one or two clicks away from each other.

I have signed up for the free trial. I'm very dubious on anything betting wise as I don't generally understand it, but I find it interesting.

I will post back if I get anywhere.

Great, thanks for the advice.

I'll look into the options tonight, will probably do it for the first month then pass it over to her if I can't trust her to do it correctly :o

Will check out fix the odds too :)

A few tips:

Double, triple, quadruple check everything. If you've had a bookie account at a bookmaker before, they won't give you any signup offers. If in doubt, the big ones have an online chat helpdesk you can ask. Don't be afraid to ask as they will sometimes offer you a little incentive too.

Odds change all the time, make sure they match your spreadsheet or it'll mess up your finances (again, quadruple checking everything).

Make sure you're backing / laying the same bet. Make sure you're not backing / backing the same bet.

Read the Ts&Cs. Qualifier bets usually have to meet certain criteria. Read carefully and adhere to them or you won't get a free bet.

Stick to footie at first. Also stick to the more major teams / leagues until you understand it better.

Start with a couple of £5 or £10 offers and go from there.

I also use Topcashback. I'm on £52 extra so far.

Enter all the details you can. Once you enter the back bet odds, back bet stake, and whether the bet is Stake Returned or Stake Not Returned, and finally the lay odds, it'll tell you how much to lay on the exchange (pink box if you're using Betfair).

Click on "add to records" and voila, your bet is saved. Wait for the game to play out, claim your free bet, do the same, and profit.

Any more questions just ask, I'm bored today :p

It gets easier once you get the hang of it. It's great fun, I think that's the more important factor for me, profit is just a bonus.

So I've been playing around with this for a few days now and i'm getting the hang of it.

I've made about £150 through the startup offers for about 3 - 4 hours work (I've been triple checking everything and taking my time). I still don't see how I can make any more than about £500 per month once the signup offers are finished.

Is anybody on here making a significant amount through the Profit Accumulator site, anyone care to share how much they're making each month?

Very interested in profit accumulator. My wife is currently on maternity and it seems like it could be quite straightforward for her to follow while I'm at work. What sort of pot is it best to start off with? Also what happens once you have an account with all the main bookies?

The bookies keep sending you offers. Horse racing offers, football offers, accumulator offers. There's an endless list. For example this week there's two easy bet365 offers to complete that'll guarantee at least £60 in risk free profit.

Yeah I started with about £50 in betfair and just hit the small offers first.

I'm making about £500 - £1000. Made about £1200 in my first month altough a large amount of that was from the bingo offers.

Help guys please yesterday i backed Cape York Sedgefield 15:40 with a free £20 coral bet at odds of 6 and on Betfair it was lay at odds of 5.9.

But i just noticed a big problem today Betfair says odds requested 5.9 but average odds matched 3.50.

It does not show as unmatched on Betfair but im getting rather worried as the race is about to start soon?

Edit: For info my stake was £17.09 with liability of £42.60 at the back odds of 6 and lay odds of 5.9 originally

Re-calculate it on the calculator using the new odds.

Have any of the lay bets been matched?

The Race has been now so am i stuffed?

Spoke to Betfair turns out my bet was partially matched and difference returned to account it seems.

Here is the pictures of my bet referring to the top one Sedgefield

Take it i cant recover from this now not sure what to do

I used fixtheodds to help me, made about £80 total from using 5-6 betting sites and their signup bonuses. What's next?

Without using the step by step guide on fixtheodds I don't think I could do it myself. How are you all making so much?

For those of you going "what now?" I strongly suggest you try profit accumulator. It's something lik £17 a month and teaches you a ton of tricks and breaks down deals and offers for you. Even if you do it for only a month and spread your own wings from there, you won't find a better resource for £17.

You *could* trawl through thread after thread on the MSE forums and go through all the stuff you already know, but my time was well worth the sub at Profit Accumulator.

And no, I'm in no way affiliated, this is a genuine suggestion :)

Did the horse win or lose? Have your betfair bets been settled?
