Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

A bit bored. Still possible to make money with this for a noobie?

Bookmakers have offers on still so if you have unrestricted accounts, then yes.

Don't fall for scammers though trying to sell you information, it's all free and pretty much common sense if you have any understanding of mathematics and how bookmakers and exchanges work. They'll throw big numbers at you which simply aren't attainable in the long term since bookmakers aren't idiots and they ditch unprofitable customers pretty quickly these days.

I still make maybe 100 a week and Ive been gubbed by nearly everyone.

3 weeks or so ago I had 2 FPTP winners that were relegated in the weighing room (meaning you win the bet and lay) one for £400 and the other for £150 so its definitely still worth doing considering it takes 10 or 15 minutes a day

It would be smart to put on bets for friends, some of which wont pay off and help the account appear more normal.

Not sure that would work in reality. Ignoring the encouragement of gambling and possible tax issues since you'd be operating as a service, I'm not sure what the friends would get out of it.

Maybe you could offer them free bets :D

Don't think there are any tax issues there but there is the question you raise of what's in it for them?

I guess if you know some people who are too dumb/lazy to open an online account or perhaps are unable to bet online at various bookies anymore then you could offer to take their bets.

In the latter case though you'd perhaps either be taking advantage of addicts who've self-excluded themselves from bookies for good reason or you'd be dealing with sharp betters who were banned by the bookies and whose bets aren't going to be helpful for your account in the long run either!

I used to just pay 20% to whomever "account" it was. I won 3.5k on a bingo offer and ended up splitting that 50% with my sister. That was a good christmas!

I think you’re getting muddled, he’s talking about letting other people place bets via your account to make it look a bit more like a normal account. Not using other people’s accounts to take advantage of offers they can be bothered with.

Oh - doh!

I'm still at this as well. Pulled most of my floats to take advantage of the crypto dips mind haha! More than possible to be doing £300 or so a month even with most accounts gubbed.

I'm going to cool it for a month or two anyway and just do the straight-up free bets for a while. Hopefully, get another season that way.

I was doing the casino offers as well. A normal month for me might be turn over £1000 or so and profit £200 from casino offers. I never had one month out of about 8 so far that I did not profit, I came close a few times but a decent win always sorted me out.

Defubatkey gets harder when accounts start going. I use Oddsmonkey, its worth every penny if you ask me. Works out at £12.5 per month so it's a no brainer. Saves so much time.

Still doing it here too, but as others have mentioned it's nothing like it used to be. Currently averaging about £900 p/month this year so far, which on top of my salary and tax-free still makes it worthwhile.
I'm glad I found this mid-2015. Made enough now, whilst not a millionaire, I don't ever have to worry about living hand to mouth.

How are you doing £900 per month? I assume you putting LOTS of massive 2UPs on or something with big stakes.

Not had a B365 account for years. Just doing the standard bet and gets/price boosts etc.
It helps I have 3+ accounts I guess.

Here's my totals so far for 2021:
2021
Jan 652.88
Feb 610.50
Mar 1,031.03
April 1,283.09
May
euro June 1,142.72
euro July 1,365.02
(carried May over into June, and kinda June into July), but overall is £6k so far this year.
Whilst I make £400 or so a month I'll carry on doing it.
Every month I wonder where the money will come from but it carries on rolling in.

Ah right yeah 3+ accounts will do it lol.

I had never been in a bookies or placed a bet in my life, I had heard of "matched betting" a few years ago but never really paid much attention. Anyway to cut a long story short I stumbled accross something which pricked my attention and I decided to give it a go, after a month I was £1500 up but thats only because of a couple of lucky wins on the slots bonus, £1150 and £100, I even got £30 from the daily free spins wheel. For the time I spent and the amount I got from the actual betting it wasn't really worth it.

If you've never done it before it's worth it with the sign up bonuses, bug once they are gone it's bloody hard work. You can make more shelf stacking at sainsbury.
