Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

You sure? According to this, you get a bet regardless. It's a bit poorly worded and I'm knackered so I'm probably just over thinking it.

Channel 4/1 Offer

Back any single winner at 4/1 or more on any race televised live on Channel 4 and you can have a risk free bet to the same stake (up to £50*) on the next live Channel 4 race. This offer applies to the FIRST single bet placed by a customer on each live Channel 4 race.
If your risk free bet also wins at odds of 4/1 or more, you qualify for a risk free bet on the next live Channel 4 race. Keep backing those winners and we'll keep giving you risk free bets! If your risk free bet loses, your stake (up to £50*) will be refunded to your account.
This offer will not apply where a stake has been fully Cashed Out. Where a stake has been partially Cashed Out, any refund amount or subsequent risk free bet amount will be equal to the remaining active stake. Where more than one selection in the same race is placed on the same bet slip, the first selection is deemed to be the one which is highest on the bet slip. Bets must be paid for and placed in the usual way. Ante-Post bets, Enhanced Win bets, Tote/Pari-Mutuel (bets and dividends), and 'Not to Win' bets are not applicable for this offer.
*or currency equivalent

You get a risk free bet if your horse wins. So you still need to lay your next bet or else you'll just lose money if your horse doesn't win.

This. You have to lay your qualifying bet, otherwise you'll probably lose your stake completely. You can choose not to lay the free bet (refund) if you wish. That will return greater winnings if it does win, but matched bettings all about guaranteeing profit and for that you have to lay off SNR.

I read that Oddsmonkey gave PA notice that they were terminating their contract to use their software. Apparently PA decided to continue using it and now threatening legal action.

Think this is true since Oddsmonkey have come out with their own MB subscription.

well it seems fair enough, why should the guy(s) writing the software earn less revenue than the guy(s) writing an idiots guide and a few videos... isn't exactly that much effort for OM to wack on a few idiots guides/videos and start promoting offers

£33 a month is outrageous for what can be found for free. Stofell is just trying to milk it for whatever he can whilst he can

Not sure why there's a need to raise prices or even keep PA open. He's pulling insane money in already. There were 30k members in the FB group so they're probably well over 35k now. If we go by an average of £20pm membership.... £700k per month.

I guess it is in his best interest to get as many members in

Claimed £2m+ turnover (old accounts confirm it being 7 figures), with what you'd assume would be relatively small running costs.

£33pm?

I ditched PA over a year ago (does that make me cool or summat? I'm never the first for anything) when I started getting hints of them just getting greedy and not actually giving a toss about their customers. Their business ethics were questionable at best, and when I contacted them a few times for help with something, they simply fobbed me off to the "forum" which at the time was a Facebook group, which meant that I could ask something and it'd go unanswered because loads of other posts would simply drown it out.

It was great for learning the ropes, but as soon as I could spread my wings, I did, which was right before they increased from £12 a month.

What oddsmatcher do you use?

Oddsmonkey, or find them manually. I tend to stick to horses and footy as the odds are never far apart so finding a match is usually a couple of minutes. I also avoid betting on some weird obscure stuff which oddsmatchers tend to throw out as it also makes you look like a bonus abuser.
