Matrix Reloaded - Discuss *[WARNING SPOILER]*

the rave scene, the sex scene, were both utterly and totally useless.

the mind-boggling confusion from neo's conversations with the oracle and the architect had me mumbling in a corner by myself. they also annoyed the hell out of me.

agent smith is somewhat of an enigma now. if he's been 'liberated', why does he still want to kill neo? what the hell is his PURPOSE???

in the first movie, neo discovers godlike powers. now, it seems he is nothing more than a man with potential to do more. yet, he remains a man. that, imho, is stupid.

as a developing character, morpheus kinda sucked too. he came off as a priest instead of a hopeful captain.

the entire movie lost its old mysticism, the whole genre it created and the intruiging storyline captivated everyone the first time around. now, it just looks like another stupid blockbuster movie, made simply to rack in the cash.

all the above aside, i still enjoyed the movie. some of the fight scenes, the highway scene, the new revelations, new characters, new informations into and about the matrix and 'the one' really had me on the edge of my seat.

it had its crappy parts, but every movie does. overall, it's worth watching.

:D

Just got back from the cinema. The special fx were amazing but the storyline had its crap parts. My only real questions are:

1. What importance are those twins? Were they there just to look good?
2. Did the architect say they were 6 matrix's and every matrix has its 'one'.
3. Who the hell was the guy on the strecher next to Neo? The next One, perhaps?

:)

1: At the moment im unsure they seemed to be really hard new creations by the guy that held the key maker

2: no there were five previous anomalies (those who are termed the one) Neo is the sixth. In all previous versions when given a similar choice to neo they chose to go through the other door becxause it meant the human race continued and the circle begins again, they build zion, the machines try to destroy, they find the one, and round and round they go again. Due to there never being able to create the perfect matrix the anomaly (the one) will always exist it is just a matter of time till he appears.

3: That was the first guy agent smith stuck his hand into and then turned into an agent, then got on the end of the phone and was transported presumably to one of the ships.

just seen it-and dont know, just not as amazed as i thought i would be after seeing it....undecided-not a bad film at all!

the guy in stretcher was the guy who Smith "infested" with that black gooy stuff.

the 'information' program (that french guy) had in his posession a number of relics, old programs that he saved from deletion. the two twins are one of those programs that no longer exist in the matrix (might be some kind of ghost type program?). he just uses them, and others like them, as muscle.

1. The importance of the twins is probably not a lot, they themselfs didn't know how much of the film they were in it for.

2. Ye I sort of got that the "architect" guy says that basicly the matrix is one big loop which means they have always been able to control the "one" into making the right choise and choosing the correct door but as neo runs on human emotion it's harder to predict him, but what I want to know is how can a computer predict the future?

3. The guy on the strecher at the end of the film was that guy from the begining that Agent Smith took control of so seems that agent smith has control of him as he was the one that set the electrical pulse off.

It would not be funny if it turned out that they were living inside a matrix within a matrix as someone said before that has been done in a film called the 13th Floor (really cool film to be honest).

I don't know why people slate the second part of the matrix and want it to be better and bigger than the first one as at the end of the day it's telling a Story! a story has it's dull and it's bright bits! but all I can say is! :-

IT ROCKS!! and bring on the 3rd film :)

The twins were basically the muscle. Their to kill.

Yes the architect said there were 5 previous matrix' and this the 6th. All had 'the one'.

And finally that guy was the smith who took over one of the guys and came through the hardline back to the real world.

Therefor a smith in the real world trying to destroy it.

I think the film was amazing. Just got back. Really had me in awe. Maybe because im easy person to please. Give me action and a great storyline and im happy.

When neo stopped the centinals i believed the matrix had been built within a matrix. Some sort of safety or another way to control those within the matrix. Making it even more difficult to escape.

OR

The other thought was his powers are now increasing into the real world and he is realising how to use those powers.

Thats the reason he collapsed. He was able to use the powers he had to stop the centinals but it took everything out of him because he was just developed the powers in the real world.

So he lapses into a comma and is somehow sent back to the matrix to finish the job he went there for.

I think this second one is more of what the revolutions movie will be about

exactly what i was thinking. otherwise. how or what in hell actualy allowed him to do it ?

ok guys here is my full thory on why neo could control the sentinels.

Agent smith infected a human and looks like he has been transported outside the matrix in the body of the guy he infected, remember your appearance inside the matrix is your residual self image so once inside the matrix he will always see himself even if he is in the body of a 90st pigmy.

as it appears he can transport himself this way outside of the matrix and into the real world (the only real reason why he wasn't killed) it is totally feasible that when he tried to take neo some of his powers within the matrix were given to neo although neo did not understand because he was still in the matrix.

And if we remember in the first one Smith could control the machines outside the matrix and in the real world. therefore by using a massive leap of faith and probably wrongability i am thinking that neo has the ability to control the machines outside of the matrix.

feasible ?

previous versions of neo in my view operated like machines i.e they operated from a point of pure logic, why neo is different is simply because he doesn't, he was found late and had already experienced human emotion something which his predecessors probably had not. (once a mind gets passed a certain age we don not free it) emotion comes with age.

and as for the ocmputers predicting the future, logic is easy to predict it is the illogical that is not.

Probably i think they were

Due to there never being able to create the perfect matrix the anomaly (the one) will always exist it is just a matter of time till he appears. The only problem i see with htis theory, is from the orignal.... morpheous says the one freed the first of us etc... because the one who released them was a anomolie from b4 one of the 5.. the orical is a control loop to stop the anamolie or the one discovering the truth... and sacrificing him self to continue the loop... zion doesnt exist, otherwise they would know they had been destroyed 6 times... so neo has broken the loop.. i dont know where its going now

dont know about this... maybe there are levels of matrix

Neo didnt control the machines he stopped them. Forcefully destroying them by shorting them out.

Controlling them would mean simply to let the machines drop. turn around or something. Not electrictute them

Right. So if the dude on the strecher was the first person Agent Smith took over, why doesn't he have his face? :)

yes but we dont know who told morpheus who freed the first of them, it could well have been the oracle, in which case it is still entirely feasible that the loop theory works. or alternatively it was the one who chose the 16 men and women to rebuild zeon. If this is so he aint going to tell them all that they had been destroyed 5times already because that would negate all hope that these 23 people have left at ridding temselves of the machines.

by telling them that he will return in time this will be passed all the way down the line until he actually returns. Remember just because they take that door does not necessarily mean that they (the one) dies outside of the matrix.

Everyone linked to and inside zion dies at the end of every loop. the 23 people he chooses will already be from inside the matrix, therefore they have no knowledge of the past, he teaches them how to hack it etc etc how to survive the machines, he dies, tells them he will return, then the loop begins again.

Right. So if the dude on the strecher was the first person Agent Smith took over, why doesn't he have his face? :)

because it is outside of the matrix, like i previously said inside the matrix your appearance is governed by residual self image, this is why the plugs dont show, neo has long hair etc etc.

Outside of the matrix you appear as you are in real life, the guy on the stretcher was agent smith on the inside but the body was the guy he took over.

the machines spared him because he was agent smith.

AH so Agent Smith has a copy outside the Matrix :)

Why did the machines spare him? I thought he broke free of the Matrix and the other Agents? Wouldn't that make the machines want to kill him, sorry for my stupidity :)
