Proper sour Gherkins seem hard to come by, tried Polish brands and Lidl stuff already and they are all too sweet. Rowats mixed pickle had the best ones but I can't find them anymore.

Sour Cornichons (Gherkins but smaller) are easier to get.

I thought this post was in La Cuisine, strange.

Yes Polish ones seem to be the better ones I've tried so far, the more obscure brand the better.

My wife got a new brand from the local Polish shop and they are delicious. So crunchy and juicy that I can get enough of them.

Gherkin is the best bit. The combination with the meat is perfect. So many people seem really nitpicky with burgers removing half of it before they even eat it.

The worst part of a McDonald's burger is the burger. Seriously they are tasteless rubbish so why would you remove an ingredient that actually adds flavour.

I usually ask for extra pickles in McDonalds. But then I have to have a jar of Lidl's Pickled Gherkins in the house at all times. I'm bloody addicted to them.

Thread necro round 2! :p

Interested in the responses to your question tbh, as I'm almost back to having to cook for myself.. :o

I love gherkins.

So do I, they’re the same as dill pickles aren’t they?
I’ve only been in two McDonalds, both in the U..S., just to use their Wi-Fi and drink their lousy coffee for that privilege.
I eat dill pickles just like I eat apples, one after the other.
I’m the same with capsicums, (peppers), crunch crunch, I’m no vegetarian, but I kid myself that I’m doing myself good eating all the pickles, apples, and peppers, plus they all taste great to me.
