Evidently Clapton did?

Not quite sure what you mean there as every 2011 car bar the Mercedes has those? They seem to have gotten around the rule of NO MORE FLAP THINGS so we're got a 90's style flap near to the sidepod intakes...

Everyone's got round that rule because, as usual, it's badly worded. The FIA defined the 2009 "no sticky out bits" rules based on the average shape of a 2008 car. Therefore barge boards are banned in the area between the front axle line and where a 2008 sidepod would start. They seem to have gotten around the rule of NO MORE FLAP THINGS so we're got a 90's style flap near to the sidepod intakes

Would other teams be able to copy this now? When is the chassis design sent to the FIA? Would have thought this design would be mighty difficult to copy. Hope McLaren have finally produced a "fast" car - don't care what it looks like tbh.
I was going to suggest this. If we're counting cars that actually raced I'd pick it, but the Cosworth 4WD is the ugliest car that nearly raced.Oooh - forgot the uglyness that was the Arrows A2
