Who is this Water you speak of?

I couldnt really give a toss what the facts show, he is a poor manager. All he had to do this season was win a couple of games post CC and everyone was happy - he couldnt do it.

"Water" is a poor manager too but thats another story.

seriously mark , there are those who see mcCoist as "too big a risk"though im not one of them.

I think McCoist will do fine, he's been well groomed, I think he will do better than Smith, he's bound to be more attacking as a former striker and is a good personality (who doesnt like McCoist, everyone does, even Celtic fans).

Walter is/was a steady hand, he was never going to let Rangers down as manager, but he was pretty awful in England with Everton, David Moyes for example with the same team had Everton top 7.

One thing Smith/McLeish have in common, they are both good ambassadors for Scotland and Scottish football, both gentlemen.

A bluenose mate has just told me that it was to do with the king signing being done without him knowing, also the owners told him they wanted the club to have 6 strikers in squad for next season

I fail to see how this it turning in a typical Scottish football bitch fest when it was about him leaving a English club.

I thought he was doing fine at B'ingham until after the Carling Cup. Has he given a reason as to why he left?

Leave your second rate league nonsense out of this thread for god sake! This has nothing to do with Walter Smith or how McCoist will do next season!

In other news, mentalist Villa & 'Pool fans have started spouting a rumour that this has been done so Mcleish can take over at Everton when Moyes goes off to join Villa! :D Hahahahahahahahahahaha

I'm sorry I'm not sure what you're getting at?

Azza supports Everton, but hey I'll feed the troll.

Manchester United got to the Champions League Final and were played off the pitch by Barcelona. I don't think you'll find many United fans who will feel hard done by or at all bitter about losing to one of, if not the best and most talented club side ever produced.

I don't understand how you can gloat about that? REALLY? You support a team in Scotland? Really?...

You know how you feel every time Rangers / Celtic get knocked out of the Champions League by teams like Manchester United and they completely dominate you and boss you about? Well that's how United felt, difference is, it happens once in a blue moon to a club like say, United, Liverpool or Arsenal. It happens every time a Scottish team gets in to the Champions League.

As for Smith, he's only at Rangers because he wasn't good enough to manage a side in a top European League.

I'll leave this one to you Tummy. :D Oh and it's not my national stadium, because it's not my nation you numpty!

I do wonder where Mcleish will go next.

I think if he went back to Scotland it would be a massive step backwards and I think the Championship would be a bit of a step down as well.

Unless he's got something lined up this seems a bit short sighted?
