Memory Prices hit all time bottom!!

sorry i forgot add that i wanted 4gb memory not 2gb
I would reccomend the ram i've got but not at the prices, its still expensive for 4GB, I'm not sure how well 4GB of the above rams I mentioned would work in your motherboard.

Maybe if someone with your board with 4 sticks of 1gb maybe able to help.

My pc will be

e6420
DS4
Corsair 520w psu
vista ultimate
Either if your keeping to the specs of the ram itself or you could just go straight for the:-

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA804)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-090-CR

Better quality IC's i.e Micron which could give better le-way when wanting to overclock further.

with the falling prices will we see a fall in price the the gfx cards?
Probally when the ATI X2900 XTX etc are released, also the Nvidia cards may fall in price to compensate i.e a price war.

I would go for (and personally have) the Ballistix 5300 which I've been told by several people overclock to and beyond the 6400's.

It's cheaper!

Someone back me up quick! :p

Are the Ballistix 5300, 6400 and 8500 basically the same kits with a different SPD programmed?

 Very tempted to get another 2GB of the OCZ Platinum stuff, anyone know of any problems with the Asus P5NE-SLi and 4GB of ram?

The prices are mad! =/ I'm thinking of upgrading my system to a Core2 E6600 but I'd need to flog my existing system first. The RAM prices are pretty shocking, I'm so tempted. Is it worth even buying some RAM now to take advantage of the price drop? :)

Gibbo, are the OCZ flex XLC modules likely to drop? I fancied them when 2gb of fairly ordinary ddr2 was £120 and these were £160+ but double the price of comparable ram is crazy for some fancy heatspreaders.

You better buy fast if you wanna take advantage of these prices!

Apparently the reason for the price crash is because Samsung and a bunch of others swapped a bunch of their production of NAND memory over to DRAM but they have announced they are changing some of it back because NAND prices skyrocketed. (quoted from some dude in Kazakstan)

I just ordered my 2gb of Ballistix !
