There is quite a few things to try with this. The ability to do 1t is not just dependent on the RAM though its also due to the strength of the IMC on the CPU with full dimm population and the Bios your working with.

Do me a favour and grade me a screen shot of the memory settings in Bios and I will advise from that. Lets hope it offers plenty of scope for change.

on my current overclock profile if i set my ram to manual/link instead of xmp/auto and use the timings 10-14-12-31 2t i get bsod code 50 which i believe is unstable timings/frequency

Correct 50 is exactly that.

I will test that RAM tomorrow for you at OCUK and get back. But the secondarys are looking the problem to me. Too tight!!!

No they are primary

Its TRFC and below on your Bios.

It should be running 10-12-12-31 though.

Yeah that does help.

The problem is in the bios then its not relaxing the timings for four sticks on the secondary and lower timings. Hence why you cant do 1T.

can we just focus on the 2 sticks, like i said i dont need 16GB(for now), they seem to play havoc when trying to oc.
oh and just off topic, my cpu is very voltage hungry to get stable, at 4.8 i need at least 1.5v to get a benchmark in(say vantage) yet my VID reads 1.336, what other voltage can i push besides vcore???

again to give you more info, whilst oc'ing been getting various bsod's and codes, 3b,24,50 etc but one common denominator is that ntoskrnl.exe is also being shown, which i believe is linked to memory??? would bad timings give this??

All of those are linked to memory mate.

I have raised the four stick problem with MSI and am looking at this direct with the bios engineers.

What are your voltages for 24/7 then. Also that Vdroop looks massive are you applying any LLC???

LLC?? Vdroop offset control is set to 100%
Been having a play with clocks today, and just with my 2 newer sticks of ram it appears i need less vcore now for 4.8, still 1.45v mind!! i NEED one of those binned chips!!

I'll work on a 24/7 setting tomorrow and will post then, Thx for your time 8Pack

haha sorry,

its a strange board if theres no llc options, they normally come in levels 1-5 or low to extreme

unless it applies it automatically idk?

theres no offset either or power saving is there?

:) theres an option called digital compensation level??? options are High or auto

to be honest i'm nearly tempted to try a different board due to the lack of info on it.
