memory timings advice

I will have an MSI Mpower next week for sure and I can offer more then in the way of support on it as far as things like Vcore LLC goes.

Yeah 101 inc Vcore is the problem with that.

Is your RAM now stable with two sticks??? Lower TRCD to 12.

I would also consider trying 1.65v PLL and 1.9 PLL to see if this helps.

VCCIO is maxed out though dont add any more. Its at 1.25 which is upper limit for 24/7.

Its stable upto about 4.6GHz when pushing further gettings bsod's due to timings/frequency, presume i need to slacken them. Have left the ram speed at 1600 when pushing cpu but cos everything is on auto i'm presuming its tightening the timings due to the slower speed.

Auto vccio does seem high at 1.25, thought it should be around the 1.1 mark.

Will do some tests tom and post results.

Manufacturers often build 1.25 V into VCCIO when end users are using DRAM modules at 2400mhz and above. Its often not needed though but they do this for compatibility. For 1600 mhz try 1.1 VCCIO yes. or even less 1.05 should be fine.

Yes timings will be tighter at 1600mhz. You should try to add XMP 2400mhz settings to your 4.8 overclock and you have done well.

I would slacken TRFC to 221 or 228 if necessary first. But you should be fine now.

Do me a favor download memtweakit and see if it works on your board so we can see a summary of all the timings in Windows now.

memtweakit just shows a blank
cpu tweaker is ok and lets you change most of them in windows

Run TRCD at 12 if you can and test this is the first port of call for tuning as is enabling 1T command rate. Then TRAS 28 for those dimms and report back.

ok will try that next

just been playin, heres my results

vcore 1.405
IO 1.25
dram (auto) 1.674
SA 1.105
PLL 1.6
vdroop offset 100%
Pll overvoltage, enabled
digital comp level, high
ocp expander, high

have run the following on the above settings all without problems

aida64 stabillity test, 30 mins
IBT 10 runs on max
catzilla
vantage
cinebench

edit: prime is giving errors after 15 mins, i shall knock the cpu clock down and re test.

edit: dropped clocks to 4.4 and ran prime for 25 mins and no probs/errors, so from this the ram is fine but the OC needs a v.bump, so i either give it a bump(but already at the 24/7 limit) or drop the oc :(

No you dont its your chip. ARe temps still under control??? Just use the system then.

with current settings 1.415v, max temp in 10 runs of IBT(on max) 69c with fans on 40%, so still very quiet :D

just had an hour on BF3 using OC'ed 7970 and max cpu temp is 60c, with an ambient of 21c

This is whilst running catzilla
