Yeah I did know it might get misread when I wrote it but it does scan... Just :p

I'm on mission 33 atm, and tbh chapter 2 actually seems better to me so far. Shame it is unfinished. There are more cutscenes, BB actually talks a bit, Motherbase is more involved. I think it was potentially a lot better than the first chapter.

Also, another example of how much freedom you get on the game - had an objective to rescue a kid, but I hadn't upgraded the fulton to take kids yet, so I stuck him in a jeep that was sitting there and fultoned that!:D

A review did state that the environment could have had more variety. The storyline, none? This sounds worse by the minute. I played 3 hours of this and 3 hours of Mad Max when they were both released. Probably won't go back to Mad Max, I have a ton of better games to play, but this getting such good ratings sounded like a done deal. Then again other games have had amazing reviews, like Star Craft 2, Company of Heroes, Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock, Portal 2.. Portal... and I didn't get into most of them games, and had to force myself to play Bioshock Infinite because of a legendary ending!

No doubt people will say "that one deserves a high score", "this one deserves a high score", the truth is the majority are not always correct.

I haven't been able to get into any Metal Gear Solid game ever. Thought 2 was interesting, but give up due to A.I. issues(it was too hard, and frustrating). I've played a little of 3, which I enjoyed, seems the A.I. is slightly better. Got really into 4 then stopped for some reason. Thought 5 would be the ONE for me, not needing any previous experience and being openworld and allowing different techniques to complete missions, which it does. I enjoyed my first mission V, found it hilarious. So maybe I'll just play it and even if the story isn't Gone with the Wind, at least I'll have a blast and laugh playing it.

Thinking of playing 3,4 and this atm. Have 3 on my PS TV or PS3.

All after my Skyrim marathon.

I'm thinking of playing 3, like the jungle atmosphere, and it gets positive remarks regarding the story. Then 4, the cutscenes are pretty awesome from what I remember, but it is PS3 so could be annoying now, but I just feel like I'm missing out on a important part of Video Game history if I don't complete at least Metal Gear Solid V.

I really want a eureka moment with a Metal Gear Solid game, I know it's there, just which one would suit me the most, 2 doesn't 1 is too far back, 3 has a good vibe, 4 is technically excellent and was interesting if slightly bonkers when I played it and V I enjoyed my 3 hours with.

Sod it, I'm going with 3, if that fails 4, if that fails V and I'm going to stick to the end even if the environment might get samey.
 
about 20 hours in so far and really been forcing my self to play, game just feels kinda boring, story is very meh might just drop it and carry on with mad max, feel like a tard for buying it just because of the reviews it got, witcher 3 still game of the year for me by far
 
Any one experiencing crashes? Just had my first after 10 minutes. Updated to the newest Beta drivers. The last 3 games now (GTA, Batman and this) all crash, I am beginning to think it's something to do with my system.

EDIT - 3 crashes in 3 attempts. I played 90 minutes of the prologue with no issue. PC gaming is really starting to get on my nerves :(

Just snagged this for £25. Not a bad deal. Had to resort to eBay, though.

Edit: The listing did not imply that this was a Russian copy of the game, which requires a VPN. Order cancelled! :rolleyes:

60 hours in and not a single crash. Infact, so far it is proving to be the most stable PC game I have played in quite a long time.

31 hours in and not single crash here.
 
Apologies AMD, I think I may have found the problem. Set my CPU back to default and no crashes so far. Been running my i3570K at 4.4 for ages but I do remember I accidentally reset the BIOS settings months ago so would hazard a guess, I didn't set a stable clock when returning back to 4.4. This would explain a lot of things in the last 6 months :o
 
Lens flares seem way over the top, beating almost star trek films by JJ. Its not needed and looks tacky imo. Hope theres a way to turn em off via mod if they dont add in later a option in gfx menu.

Also no AA or AF for a 2015 game, hmm why not.

Just finish up Chapter 1 and I'm still not bored at all of the game, there's just so much to experiment with.

For instance, I just played a bit now and I was sneaking around at night with the water pistol. I sprayed a soldier in the crotch area while he was sleeping, and he woke up thinking he has ****ed himself :p

I also ran around the room, knocking into things. I made such a ruckus that a guard woke up, so I picked up his weapon and hid outside. He was so spooked, he ran outside screaming :D
 
Need a tiny bit of info if someone would be so kind :D!

I've bought the Gatling gun and I can't seem to find the option to equip it on my D-Walker, I'm on my pre-mission sortie and there's no option to change his equipment.
