Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

I forgot the pain of not being able to skip cutscenes, whilst also not being able to quicksave.
Rage enducing to the point I alt+ctrl&del out. Instead I left it and went for a dump…looks great when I could play it

The enhanced version is looking great maxed out at 4K, way better lighting and shadows. With DLSS on quality I'm getting a consistent 60+fps but it's usually between 60fps and 90fps without VSYNC. Only bug that I have that others are having on the steam discussion page is the game doesn't save the resolution properly so it keeps defaulting to 1080p on the next launch even if the settings says it's at 4K, really annoying as the resolution change screws up my desktop so I hope that bug is patched quickly.

Downloading now. I never did finish it first time around. Now is my chance!

I have something called Metro Exodus Pre- purchase in my Epic library as well, not sure what that is. Any ideas?

What a great job they have done with the enhanced edition it runs beautifully and looks great with DLLS in quality mode. not experienced any bugs yet just carried on pretty much were i left off.

if it looks washed out, for some reason atm the enhanced version launches in wrong resolution just change aspect ratio in settings and change back and that fixed it for me

temp solution until patch anyway

running on 6800xt high settings high ray tracing between 60-90 fps

Runs really well it defaulted to Extreme quality and RTX on Ultra. Playing 3440x1440 with a 6700k 4.4 and 2070 Super OC getting a vsync 60fps. DLSS set to balanced and all looks great too. I'm going to play on reader mode as completed it before and just want to cruise through and enjoy the updated visuals.

Played up to the church last night and it just looks amazing, to be fair it was a great looking game to start with but now it just looks much better.

Goes to show that the RTX cards have enough performance, the problem has always been the way it's been implemented. You can't just bolt these features onto a game and expect it to perform well, they need to be designed from the ground up to work with RT, and in the case of Metro Exodus it actually improves performance which is the most impressive thing imo.
