Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

Just fired it up, and it runs great, runs much better than the original.

Running at UW 3440x1440, everything on, Ultra Quality (although may go Extreme, as tried it on that, and it seemed to run fine also :D), the reflections on raytraced, and also got it at Ultra RT, and im using the DLSS on Quality (which looks great), the VRS is on 2x (which was the default), but i may turn it off, as seen a lot of people having that off, Hairworks, Tessellation etc... on, and ive got the FOV slider 4x squares up (for now).

VRS is variable rate shader, isn’t it?

Used to keep frame rates up? It’s the only reason I turned it off but I may be mistaken.

To be honest, this is the first title where I am actually gutted that I dont have a 3000 series card.

Whether that is a testiment to how well the devs have done with this or a statement on how meh RTX enhancements have been up til now, I leave to the readers discretion :)

Is there no way to skip away from all the narrative? I've heard it before so dont need to sit through it all again. Holding E to skip only works sometimes.

Its painful when you have to listed to the story without being able to skip... to the point of me quitting either by alt f4, escape or alt+ctrl&del if needed

Game crashing for others?

I've had two crashes so far. One last night when exiting the game and another just now.

It's a crash to desktop. A program run saying collecting crash report to send. So it's not my system. (I hope)

What a technical disappointment.

I've played about 4hrs so far of a the Enhanced Edition but right now the game is crashing on me every 30 mins. Also seem to be in the same area.

Additionally the RTX effects are not that much of an improvement in my opinion.

RT pushes your system, including system RAM considerably harder than standard games. It could be that any overclock you have on your system RAM isn't stable being pushed so hard. I know of others here who had trouble with games crashing with RT turned on but after dialling back their RAM timings and/or frequency a bit, the problem was solved. Might be worth trying...
