Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

I'm into the game now however it's way too much adventure and dialogue than an out and out shooter such as COD or HL2
Sounds great ;)

I bought this ages ago... Since then it's been upgraded. I wanted to play the 1st 2 games 1st and only half way through the 1st one. By the time I get around to it the next game will be out :D

Getting pretty miffed at these chapter endings

Didn't quite realise what game it is at first so blasted my way through Church in the first chapter which gave me a bad ending with Duke even though didn't touch any fish people after.

Played carefully through Caspian Sea section and freed all the slaves without killing as far as I'm aware, yet again ended up with bad ending just now with Damir staying? Guess I'm now due a bad ending for the game overall.

The same happened to me on my first play through. However at the time, I wasn't aware that negative actions had such an impact, so it didn't bother me. Besides, I was having fun. I then went through it again a year or so later, and played more conscientiously.

Hoping some of you have played Last Light Redux?

I cannot get rid of the "Open you weapon/ammo selection menu to choose throwing weapon, Hold TAB" message, I've disabled hints and subtitles.

Any ideas?

Just bought this in the sale on steam and installing the pc enhanced edition, just hope its not to hard of a game as like less of a challenge in my older age
I am currently playing through, having got it in the epic sale earlier, and it does not seem to be that difficult (yet). I am onto the 3rd region/level of the game, although getting to the "good ending" might be challenging as I have been killing everyone along the way :D.

If I recall it's generaly pretty easy but good story and very good fun.
There's one bit though that is hard.. A bit of a set piece with a shed load of enemies that you pretty much need full health and full ammo to stand a chance.

Good to hear, i usually quit games when they become too hard these days lol

Gotta say there's a surprising amount of little bugs for a 3 year old game, then again I don't have an RTX GPU so not playing the enhanced edition so that may be better.

Found an interesting bug with the Enhanced Edition after changing monitor. With a Gsync monitor and AMD gpu, my display would stop responding just as the intro video started. Game would carry on running; sounds playing, responding to keyboard commands (e.g. I could quit and then alt-F4 to restart the PC), but no way to get picture back without a reboot.

Turned off adaptive sync just for Metro EE in the AMD control panel and seems to have fixed it.

As an added bonus, I tried the same thing for PUBG and it seems to have fixed the intermittent crashes I was getting even with my old freesync monitor, so bonus :D

In terms of bugs / performance issues, did anyone else experience significant fps drops on the forest level (Taiga I think it's called)?

Had to try this for the ray tracing, and found out the game controls all my Corsair lighting, depending upon what's happening in game!

Very cool, for example, all my lighting turns white when there's no radiation about, or you're not experiencing any ill health.

Game runs great as well, everything maxed out.

Did you try the enhance edition? That does run very nice now on decent hardware!

Yeh, it's the enhanced version.

I've actually reversed undervolting to overclocking.

For some strange reason, Control ran perfectly with an undervolt on my old X5650 + 3080 Ti, but insta-crashed on the new Alder Lake PC.

So put the 3080 Ti back to stock but decided to up the core (+140) without touching the voltage.

Upshot is that it's now boosting up to 2100Mhz:)eek:) whilst the Aerocool fan (as seen in my piccies) helps keep the GPU cool, have seen no more than 75C max, so it's still nice and quiet.

Have ran it at that for a few hours maxed out on RDR2, Cyberpunk, Metro Exodus, HZD and its passed with flying colours, every game at 100fps ( the max of my Acer Predator UW), excepting CP2077 (get around 70-100).

Haven't even oc'd the CPU yet, would like to get 5Ghz on all cores but haven't a clue (yet) on how to do that!

Well happy.

Not bad at al, I am keeping mine at undervolted levels as not seen any performance loss and fixed the game crash to desktop issue by adjusting some RAM settings in the BIOS :p

I tried playing for an hour and it felt like Remote Vieweing simulator

the character literally kills people in first person as you watch....

The first hour of the "game" feels like you maybe control 5-10minutes.... may as well be one of those quick time prompt games like dragon's lair.

uninstalled, way to jarring for me
