Hows that work then, what if he wanted to come in a lap before Rosberg, that wouldn't effect Rosbergs race.

The problem with giving Hamilton a pit earlier is that Rosberg would always want to pit before. But then Hamilton could bluff Rosberg and so Rosberg always gets the call as to when to pit.

The team can always overrule of course if Rosberg was being silly.

Button made new Mediums only last 31 laps on the slowest car out there...

I'm not convinced these guys will make 1 stop work.

This is agreed beforehand. So if Hamilton was ahead, as he was in Austin, he would have benefitted. So it is fair. Just not as entertaining.

Well 50 minutes to sort out my F1 back onto my account. Guess I won't bother watching it now.

But resetting the pit stop isn't that fast. More new tyres from the back, remove blankets, remove previous cars old tyres, get back into position...

Having the cars line up is significantly slower. Slower than having the second car do another lap.

Because that's how you run an F1 team.

How else would you decide who got first call?

So Vettel's best strategy now is to burn through the tires, hold up Vettel and help Hamilton by him so Rosberg gets less points, would laugh a lot.
