Mexican Grand Prix 2015, Mexico City - Race 17/19

To be within realistic podium chances they'd have to be the fourth/fifth/sixth best team... the chances are that they can leapfrog Force India and Red Bull, maybe even Williams during the season, making them the third best team behind Ferrari and Mercedes. So Skeeter? :)
Bwahahahaha

Might as well just give that tenner to honda. They might double the engine performance with that development budget.

Cheeeek of it. Free Practice 1's starting. This race is going to be a proper struggle for McLaren tbh, altitude and track layout are gonna knacker the car out. Already a 60 place penalty between Jenson and Nando lol!

Yikes. Got the BBC Sport page open, and the live text updates from Gary Rose. He's noted that the last time F1 came here, Max Verstappen hadn't been born yet. And thinking about it, nor had Daniil Kvyat, Felipe Nasr or Carlos Sainz Jr.

I'm old :/

Looks like Pirelli have been too conservative with the tyre choice, just like Sochi last year. One stop race all round Sunday if it stays dry.

Ooo. Actual interesting F1 gossip. Loweden and Booth apparently both leaving Manor, and rumours that Prodrive (Richards, maybe?) could be in line to take over runnign the team?

With a Mercedes engine deal the Manor team is something a number of people may be interested in getting involved in.

Probably just using these last races as 2 hour testing sessions anyway. A lot of hype has been generated for their next season, actually can't wait to see if it's true. Would be great to have more teams mixing it up in the top 10.

Our Nige on R5L talking about THAT move on Berger around the outside of the Pereltada. That was why he couldn't fit inside the '95 McLaren properly - not enough room for his massive balls.

Other than the balls, the thing that most impressed me about that move was him managing to keep with Berger through the twisty bits with tyres far older, Berger having passed him at the start of the lap. It was a stunning effort.

Why do people keep saying Rosberg gifted the US GP to Hamilton? Hamilton had the fresher tyres and seemed faster in the dry conditions so would likely have got past, mistake or otherwise.
