Mexican Grand Prix 2015, Mexico City - Race 17/19

Why do people keep saying Rosberg gifted the US GP to Hamilton? Hamilton had the fresher tyres and seemed faster in the dry conditions so would likely have got past, mistake or otherwise.

Hamilton probably would have overtaken him later, but he wasn't showing any signs of it at the time.

Amazing amount if support at this GP already. It's great to see full stands so early in the weekend of a GP.

As Micky Mouse as those corners are, that stadium looks like an epic place to spend a weekend with a few thousand other F1 nuts :)

Looked plenty fast enough on the hards6tenths ahead at time of setting it, and pumping in purples on his first soft lap...

EDIT** lol no not looking fast at all...

Sorry?

Force India may become Aston Martin Racing?
If it gets rid of Vijay, then it sounds fantastic to me. :D

Plus Aston are going to have Mercedes AMG engines in future models, so double levels of advertising.

Mercedes own part of AM don't they?

It won't get rid of Vijay, it sounds more like a title sponsorship deal that goes to the extent of branding the whole team. Like Lotus (although that money never arrived).

Crazy top speeds so far this weekend. Hamilton hit 365.5 km/h in P2. Wonder what they will hit in qualifying.

Supposedly want to paint the car blue+gold... like a Sauber then?

No, like a Gulf.

We're not going to be too far away from the fastest ever recorded speed in an official session this weekend. Not bad for cars in their Monaco spec.

There's differing claims on who holds the title and what speed it is - Pizzonia at 369.9kph in 2004 or Montoya at 372.6kph in 2005, both at Monza. The most common claim is 371.7kph, but I can't find who it was or what year it was (expect it's 2004).

It was all much easier when Coulthard held the title from 1999 at 361.8kph (225mph).
