After a week(ish) of use, I'm pleased to say, I'm keeping it.
On top of the steps, HR and sleep information for personal understanding and curiosity, the fitness side of the band is great so far. Been out riding and with GPS on, screen constantly on, I can read my speed, HR and distance at a glance.
The ability to instantly reply a set message or use Cortana without taking my phone out whilst on the bike was a godsend! The only thing I didn't like out of that is the the lag between phone ringing and the band receiving the notification (between 5 and 10 seconds, too long if someone drops it within that time), it's OK for text messages though.
Cortana and Band = awesome. Can occasionally take a little longer than it does on the phone but when I need to be 'hands free' from my phone, with the band on my hand, I have pressed the action button with my other hand or mouth without a problem. (Think dirty hands whilst food prepping vs washing, touching phone and back to job)
Will update as I keep using, especially on GPS and battery life, haven't gone out cycling long enough to judge how fast battery drains with all turned on. So far, I can charge my band when I'm at work due to my vocation, I can't wear any items, so perfect time to charge it.
