Another thing (apologies if this has already been mentioned).
This is also sort of a spoiler, but imo the devs spoil the game for you a bit so I'm gonna put it here.
Basically once you pass your IFR certification, every single mission, almost without fail, will give you really nasty weather, the visibility isnt the issue as such, it just it gives you 30kt+ winds, basically every time, with up to 60kt gusts on final. You're little Cessna isn't really up for that, and I reckon in real life they simply wouldn't fly it. I'm guessing the devs assumed you would have moved on to a more capable aircraft by the time you get to this certification.
Now I could.....most of the time, still make the landing, but its damn tricky. You have to come in sideways if its a cross wind, then full rudder when you touch down, but its not easy. There was one landing in Scotland and I crash the landing, I made it down but I could not turn on the ground without the plane flipping, and went off into the trees, and not being funny but that little Cessna was being buffeted around, yawing and pitching about 30 degrees in all directions, I would say even the most skilled of pilots would have struggled. Thats then a 150k repair bill.
Anyway, this is lift from the official MSFS24 forums and just tested it and it works. You will loose your bad weather bonus though.
Step 0: have MSFS2024 started, in Career mode, with the mission select world map open.
Step 1: make sure Live Weather is enabled under Options → General → Online.
Step 2: on the world map, click on a mission you wanna fly.
Step 3: immediately after the very first mission overview screen pops up (the one with briefing and mission schedule on the left side of the screen), go back to Options → General → Online, and switch off Live Weather.
Step 4: start up your mission as usual.
(do not skip step 1)
