**** Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Thread ****

I found it ok using it on my legs but honestly it feels nicer in tablet form compared to laptop form. Touch keyboard is not as nice to use but for basic browsing it's fine.

And I realised I keep trying to swipe on the keyboard when using the touchscreen, thanks a lot Swype/Swiftkey/Google keyboard :p.
 
Just had the sleep issue, was away from it for about an hour and a half (I usually leave it to sleep at most half an hour, I turn it off for longer periods) and it wouldn't wake up. Holding the power button for 5 secs to shut it down didn't work, had to hold it for 30 secs to bring it back to life. Could be related to hibernation? I might disable hibernation to see if that helps. Normal sleep doesn't use that much power anyway...

Mine hibernates just fine, but can occasionally take what feels like an eternity to boot back up (sits saying Surface for ages).

I've no idea why, but I suspect it might be Windows Update related, as there's never a correlation between running apps and the behaviour - although it has only happened 3 or 4 times maximum.

I don't think I've actually shut it down even once since I got it!
 
Not sure if this is Surface specific or Windows 10; when watching full screen video there is a white line along the right-hand and bottom sides of the screen. Anyway to disable this?
 
Not sure if I have noticed the above, have you got a screen shot to show the issue?

How is everyone getting on with their surface Pro? Battery life seems my only major complaint at present. I have been gaming on it, L4D2 works well if you drop the resolution down.
 
What is everyone thinking of the keyboards?
I am looking to upgrade my Surface 3 pro with this newer keyboard.
I had a quick play on the highstreet but I want to know if there any bugs/other issues
 
After disabling hibernation I don't get the sleep issue any more, my SP4 pretty much has been waking up without a fail for the past few days. Having such a large uptime however strangely makes me feel uncormfortable :p.

How do I change it so when the pen brings up the keyboard, it brings up the actual keyboard rather than the handwriting one.
 
Had my dock and keyboard for 3 weeks now. I didn't realise that the i7's were on pre-order when i ordered mine :(
Just waiting till the 12th now.
It better be good as i'm replacing an i7-4770k (mitx rig) that's dodging out a bit on win10.
 
My boss just rang me from NY. He was in the Microsoft store and lurrves the new Surface Book, which isn't out in the UK until Mar-Apr. So he's bought one.
I'll get to play with it when he gets back.

New hardware drivers on Windows Update now. Supposed to fix graphics driver resetting issues.

I can see a pre-charge on my card for my i7 pre-order too, but I think based on other people's experience, this drops off and the real charge only goes on closer to the actual shipping date.

Still about a week to go on these UK i7 pre-orders I think!

For some reason KB3116908 kept failing to install. It attempts to download it but then it runs into an error. Had to manually grab the update off the Microsoft site... which doesn't work in Edge but needed Internet Explorer to download.

System hardware update on the other hand installed just fine.
