According to the first post:

24th for your calendar people…

Don't really see the point in calling it Windows 11 after all the talk of Windows 10 being the last numbered version. Just call it Windows.

I hope they drop the requirements of SecureBoot and TPM 2.0 in order to install Windows 11. I haven't tested my own machine yet (7th gen i5), but I've already got one laptop (1st gen i3) which Windows 11 turns its nose up at.

Is it worth downloading the ISO thats available now or wait till the 24th to see whats said?

Wow i didnt realise Win 11 was a thing, i must keep p with news more.

I just assumed Win 10 was going to be updated and refreshed forever or something along those lines.

I might try that later, but I don't like the idea of fudging around with Windows installation images just so they work - but for this laptop, it won't really matter I suppose.

In better news, all I had to do was change Discrete TPM to Firmware TPM in my Asus BIOS and Windows 11 would happily install - something I might do during this weekend.

I did actually, mad I know but I had nothing to lose, all of my media is on seperate drives and I only really browse on this machine, happy to say it runs like a dream anyway!

I was thinking it would be unveiled on the 24th and would be aviaable at a later date. Most likely Oct.
