If i am using a local account on W10 and do the update and keep all files will it still use my local account?
Should do if it's PRO. If it's home then it will probably want to move over to an online account.

Solution / Fix for 0x800F0830 – 0x2003 Error Code
While trying a lot of solutions to fix the issues like to checking the developer mode is disabled on Windows 10 system before starting the windows 11 installation process, resetting windows update service, rebooting the system etc. None of the fixes worked for me. Everytime, I have received this error (0x800F0830 – 0x2003) message. As we know that this error message is occuring during Install_Updates (when the setup is trying to download the updates and Install it to make sure your system will have the latest drivers of all connected components). Disconnect from the internet before starting windows 11 setup using ISO and keep it in disconnected state during the whole installation process. If possible, Disable the Wi-Fi Adaptor and remove any LAN / Ethernet cable attached to the system. Along with that disconnect any external devices like USB Hub, External HDD or any connected USB or Printer before starting the installation. Once you follow these guidelines, this will definitely work for you to fix this particular error. Also, another tip is to choose Not right now on Get updates, drivers and optional features window just after you start the setup process by double clicking on the setup.exe
Thanks for confirming.I had the same problem and all you need to do is follow advice above.
It worked for me.
I was about to give W11 a go but reading this I'm now debating itStarted getting graphical glitches, random blocks flashing and screen going black for a second.
Tried updating all drivers but gave up.
Back on W10 and all is fine again.
Not sure if it was because it was not a clean install so may try that sometime.

I know doing a fresh install is best but its a ball ache installing everything back on again, many years ago I'd be all over this, but now I'm just a bit more reluctant I guess
Thanks bud, no difference in performance that you can tell?I did one drive as fresh and one drive as in place upgrade ( I dual boot between work nvme boot and gaming nvme boot). Both have been fine.
I will say if you do decide to do the inplace upgrade, reverting back to W10 was so easy.I was about to give W11 a go but reading this I'm now debating it

Might have a go at the weekend!I will say if you do decide to do the inplace upgrade, reverting back to W10 was so easy.
While i did have 11 installed every thing seemed ok barring the couple of glitches. (they happened at random, not all the time)
I did update the NV drivers over the top of the old one using the Clean Installation option. DDU may have been better, but not used this in ages.
It's been ready for quite some time.
22H2 will hit release most likely from September 20th: https://www.windowslatest.com/2022/...-release-date-big-update-is-now-imminent/amp/
You can still update from Windows 10 to 11: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/windows-11
On the above notes about non clean install vs clean, regardless of what you choose, if there's a driver bug or a system config issue then you will have it either way. Every system is different, the issue one person has will not be visible to everyone else the same way, if at all.
I have not done a clean install since Vista and all my OS upgrades have been in-place, but I have made it a habit and routine to manually maintain my OS month-round and as such the decade+ I have had this single same install, it has behaved like a new install all the time.
Did the inplace upgrade again yesterday because i got bored.
Don't know why but not getting the glitches this time and every thing seems to be working great. (maybe NV driver never installed right last time? )
If i do have to do a clean install, is it still recomended to remove other drives? (2 x NVME and 1 SATA SSD)
@cjgardens if your W10 is retail and not OEM the code should work with W11.
