Where did you guys install the update from? Windows Update doesn't show it for me (yet).

It'll be a staggered release through Windows Update for most people. Others will have downloaded and upgraded/installed from the ISO directly. I haven't had it yet on Windows Update, probably be this week sometime.

Health check app is naturally all green ticks lol.

That message shows up when you try and remove the file to bypass TMP / CPU checks. ;) You will need to do it via reg method if you are upgrading.

Interesting thanks, this makes sense as this install was upgraded to from Windows 10 back when I had the i7 6700K which was unsupported at the time so I used the system check bypass media creation method. I guess that bypass is still remnant which the 22H2 installer is seeing since my current CPU is fully supported lo on the same install.

The iso method I think is now broken.

Skip_TPM was still active it seems, ran the .cmd and it said now removed, so will re-run the upgrade tool and see if that works now. Waiting for the monthly backup task to external HDD to finish first though.

I've been on 22H2 for a while as I'm on the beta insider, tabbed explorer is a godsend if you're used to Linux like I am, really good move.

Ah OK. I thought it was released with this version. I wont bother.

This site says that feature will be added in October.

The most obvious changes are on the UI front. Windows 11 2022 Update brings with it updates to the Start menu, “faster and more accurate search,” Quick Settings and the aforementioned tabs in File Explorer — the last of which will arrive in October.

Windows 11 22H2 is now out on Windows Update. Just got offered it on my desktop.

I was rather concerned at first as it wasn't showing up in Windows Update, even though I have all the system specs and I'm using Windows 11 already. However I went to this link https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 , used the Windows 11 Installation Assistant and it updated everything and now I'm on Windows 11 Pro 22H2!

All I need to do is reinstall the Windows insider 525.26 Nvidia drivers which are very good for frame rates, as Windows 11 re-installed the old drivers over the top

Installed perfectly. Dark task manager is nice but would have liked to have seen a bit of a border around the core usage windows, as at the moment it is all joined together like an excel sheet lol.

The animations and snappiness somehow feel swisher on 22H2 as well, even though 21H2 was super smooth anyway.

I've managed about 1 hour of 22H2 usage without having a tantrum so that's real progress over the RTM version. Let's see how long it lasts... :p

I did have to install a windows update manually because windows update was borked but that's not exactly a first. :/
