Is anyone using it as a daily driver and did an in-place update from 10? If so had any problem with programs/software?

Upgraded over Windows 10 on my XPS13 (2019 model). Only issue I had was no sound to start with, reinstalling the drivers fixed that and it's been faultless otherwise.

I am, I run an emby server on this machine too so took a risk! and I did an update from 10, it took ages but it worked faultlessly, no major issues at all, just a couple of small bugs which they are squashing really quickly with updates.

Sort of, I use it on my gaming boot drive, had only minor issues. Not ready yet to install on my work boot drive.

Ta, probably give it a go on my laptop :)

What do toolbars do, dont think I ever used one?
And the quick launch toolbar next to the start button

Ah right, yeah never used them. Most used apps will be pinned to taskbar anything else find it quicker to hit windows key and start typing the name of the program. :)

Maybe they will return in a future build!

Do you get the option to use the original start menu?

I use quick launch with all my shortcuts down there and now with this being centered its not going to work too well.

I was going to move mine left when I first installed but quickly got used to it centred, actually think I prefer it now. Start menu is much better as well, once you trim the guff.

How do you find gaming on 11, about the same as 10?

Cant say I have noticed any issues, other than I had some hard resets in the early days, all seems to have stopped now. Have mostly been playing Apex Legends, Cyberpunk, a few hours Guild Wars 2 on a whim this morning and tiny bit of Path of Exile. I have not done any actual benching and obviously its only a small set of games so far, so others may have had problems. :)

As of late Windows 11 seems a bit more unstable, random crashes with no evidence of said crash in event log. Performance on FS2020 has took a nosedive. Not sure why.

Maybe because it's prebeta? :P I tried it and it feels like a beta windows 10 with a new ui duct taped on at the moment. I am sure when it's done it'll be better than win10 but not at the moment and not good as a daily driver either yet.

Was bored so installed it on my work boot as well. Went mental with Nvidia card, event log errors, black screens, had to get into safe more DDU, then reinstall latest nvidia driver. Seems ok now....
