**Middle Earth :Shadow of Mordor Bench Thread**

Is this stutter i eye on the odd video coming at even 6GB on Ultra? And does this badly coded peice of poop look like it requires 8GB? Im just sitting on my money at the minute looking for a killer upgrade that i wont be nagging myself about some halfway next year.

Wait for 6GB/8GB then because i need minimum 4xAA at 1080p maybe even 8X.

Hard to tell without knowing their setups and if they even installed the HD texture pack correctly or not. All I know is 3gb VRAM isn't enough for ultra texture setting at 1080p, as it stutters heavily due to VRAM thrashing. If it was simple FPS dips, my gsync monitor would have completely masked it. My next GPU upgrade will be a 6gb VRAM min though from my 780 ti's.

On my 980 I have found knocking the Ambient occlusion down from Ultra to high makes the game run pretty much perfect. Everything else at Ultra inc textures 1440p 60Hz with V-Sync on.

Just tried it.
It makes the menus less flickery, but GPU usage is down to 50-60% and my bench score goes from 163 to 84 fps.

Using AFR friendly gets 99-100% usage and much higher frames. Still get the odd bit of flickering ingame either way.

Just tried AFR there, you're correct. Gave me another 40fps compared to my previous run. Although as said the menus are screwed up more using AFR. They look like they are in 3D, really strange.

Benching at 1080, everything ultra including textures.

Using the lost planet 2 crossfire profile. Anyone have a guess why my highest fps is so high, not seen that much of a delta before.

How is performance in game using the lost planet profile? You have the same setup as me. Cheers

A lot less flickering in the menus, and loads less in game.

The only stutter I get is when I spawn onto my tower, and that is only for a couple of seconds. Very happy with the performance .

On my 780GTX lightning oc +150/150 this game is nearly unplayable at 1440p in the big areas with everything maxed (without HD texture pack)

My benchmark average is 59 and performs fine but in game (in big area, in small is fine) the ram usage is constantly at 3gb + so guessing its hitting a bottleneck, horse power wise it gets 60fps no problem then suddenly I get crazy dips 50>43>16fps for a few seconds then its back up to 60fps and this will happen when I for example, would rotate the camera a full 360 and load the whole environment or travel a certain distance.

The only way for me to play this at 1440p on full settings otherwise is using medium textures which is kinda sad but the game still looks fantastic!

Anyone else experienced similar on a 780 or similar 3gb card?

Good score.

OK seriously, how are people getting Crossfire to work in this game?

Create a custom CCC profile using the Mordor game exe. Use an AMD Pre-defined profile and choose this profile HK2207_DX11.exe

Great performance and scaling (look at the bench scores) and no flickering in game, just a little in the menus.
